WHAT TO EXPECT DURING CONSTRUCTION

„ Construction Hours: Weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Night and weekend work may be needed on occasion for major road
crossings or connections.

„ Residents and businesses will receive advance notification of construction;

updates will be posted at SeminoleHeightsStormwater.com.
Maintaining access to homes and businesses will be a priority, but individual
homeowner’s ability to get in or out of their driveways may be limited for a
few days while work is taking place in front of their homes. In that case, the
on-site construction manager will identify alternate parking areas and shuttle
residents to their homes if necessary. The on-site crews will also assist with
garbage pickup and make sure mail and package deliveries are made.

„ Some temporary road closures, lane closures and detours will be required.
All changes in traffic flow will be clearly marked and flaggers will help direct
traffic when necessary.

„ The contractor will partner with administrators at Hillsborough High and

Seminole Heights Elementary schools to minimize traffic disruptions for
work that may occur during the school year.

„ Trees along the route will be protected where possible. Some trees may
require trimming, pruning or removal.

„ Residential streets excavated to install pipes, culverts and other utilities will
be replaced in-kind. If brick streets in the Historic District are impacted, they
will be restored with brick per City standards. If asphalt streets or streets
with gray asphalt brick in the Historic District are impacted, they will be
restored with an asphalt surface in accordance with current City standards.
Sidewalks and crosswalks will be constructed or enhanced as the need is
identified by the City’s Transportation Division.

„ Curbs and gutters will be added or restored in all areas where stormwater
improvements are made.
