Abstract

A research entitled “Effectiveness of Barangay Police

Security Officers at Barangay Rizal, Santa Rosa”. The

respondents were Barangay officials, BPSO’s and residents of

the said Barangay. The total of 100 respondents serve as the

population of the study. The Researchers conducted the

survey to determine the level of effectiveness of the

Barangay Tanods in performing their responsibilities. This

study sought to answer the level of attainment of the

responsibilities of Barangay Police Security officers

(BPSO’s). Based on the findings it was resulted to much

attained, Barangay Police Security Officers always response

to their duties and responsibilities, but they’re lack of

some necessary skills and abilities. Another objective of

this study is to determine the serious problem encountered

in the efficiently performance of Barangay Police Security

Officers duties and responsibilities. And it was resulted to

much serious, according to the respondents of the barangay,

there should be more installed CCTV’s, and to have more

vehicles to use for more patrol/ronda.

accomplishments of this research.

Moreover, the researchers would like to acknowledge the

panel members, Ms. Ma. Samantha Rose Calonge, and Ms.

Fevelyn F. Ongyod for imparting knowledge, sharing idea and

criticizing their research. Through their help and support

this study was guided properly.

The barangay officials and Hon. Gil T. De Leon, being

surveyed, for their welcoming attitude and also assisting

the researchers while doing this survey.

The residents of Barangay Rizal, Santa Rosa who

patiently cooperated and answered the questionnaire that

they administered to them.

support in finances and motivation, and for their love and

care that serves as the inspiration in finishing this study.
