QUESTION 1

Mr Ramsey is a street vendor selling vegetables at


Burgersfort taxi rank. She pays rent of R100 per week for the
space she is using. In November 2023, she bought 4 bags of
Potatoes from the local farmer at R1 350 per bag. Each bag
has a maximum of 150 potatoes.

She then repacks the potatoes into small packs of 5 Potatoes


per pack and sells them.

1.1 Calculate the total amount Mr Ramsey paid to the


farmer for the Potatoes. (2)
1.2 Define the term Cost Price according to the given
context. (2)
1.3 Calculate the approximate cost of one Potato. (2)
1.4 How many small packs will Mr Ramsey be able to
pack, if he puts 5 potatoes in one small pack? (2)
1.5 One pack has 50 plastics inside, each pack with fifty
plastics cost R10.
1.5.1 Calculate the cost of 50 packs? (2)
