Introduction
On the Job training is a part of college curriculum that aims to train and
orient students about the work and their future career. It is a type of skills
development program where trainee learns how to do the work through
hands-on experience. This will help the students to expose with different
work situation to give students an opportunity experience and to apply their
knowledge that they learned from school,
During the OJT I have this problem with adapting to the new environment,
connecting with colleagues and also I know to myself that I have a limited
practical experience but day by day I manage to have open communication
with them, seeking feedback, asking questions, and actively participating in
work related tasks specially "Conduct RoCond Assessment".
Learnings
For the past 3 months in OJT I've learned a few things especially about
scanning machines, even if there is no guide of my mentor, updating
transmittal and daily monitoring. I also enhanced my skill in AutoCAD and MS
Excel. But not just only on hands on tasks, I also learn to view challenges as
opportunities for growth rather than failures.
ACCOMPLISHMENT AND CONTRIBUTION
I helped them compute the itinerary and transmittal everyday, also logged
those computed data in the log book one by one. And also receiving
incoming important forms Since we're working with Engineers we are also
assigned to help them to take notes on the measurements of the damaged
roads when we're in the field and editing some pictures we caught on the
particular place we went.
The OJT program can enhance a company's reputation among students and
academic institutions, which can be valuable for recruiting top talent in the
future. Also allows companies to identify and nurture potential future
employees. By offering trainees, companies can assess a student's fit within
the organization and potentially offer them a full-time position after
graduation.
On the other hand, trainees get to learn from experienced employees, gain
valuable real-world experience, and make connections that can help them in
their future careers.
