COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

Students will be able to:


1. Identify the different data types, visualization types to bring out the insight. Relate the
visualization towards the problem based on the dataset.
2. Identify the different attributes and showcasing them in plots. Identify and create various
visualizations for geospatial and table data.
3. Ability to visualize categorical, quantitative and text data. Illustrate the integration of
visualization tools with hadoop.
4. Design visualization dashboard to support the decision-making on large scale data.
5. Match the knowledge gained with the industries latest technologies. Ability to create and
interpret plots using R/Python.

COURSE ASSESSMENT METHOD
Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE):
• Three internal Assessemnts-MSE1, MSE2 & MSE3 (each 30 marks) are conducted.
• 40% of MSE1,40% of MSE2 & 20% of MSE3 is considered for the award of 30 marks.
• Quiz tests are conducted and evaluated for 10 marks.
• Project/Seminar/Case Study are conducted and evaluated for 10 marks
Semester End Examination (SEE):
• Final examination, of 100 Marks will be conducted and will be evaluated for 50 marks
