    Admission Test Guidelines for Level O1:

    Level O1 tests will be conducted for students who have studied till Grade VIII by May in the current
    year.

    QUANTITATIVE SECTION SYLLABUS - SECTION A


    The following test syllabus for Grade O1 is to provide parents a basic view of where a student
    would be evaluated in the Quantitative section of the paper. Students will be given 8-10 questions
    in this section to be solved in 50 minutes. Please go through the syllabus thoroughly to get a clear
    picture of what to expect in the test.
    1. NUMBERS & OPERATIONS:
     Exponents (including fractional Bases and Negative Powers).
     Surds.

    2. EQUATIONS WITH ONE UNKNOWN:


     Equations with variables on both sides.
     Equations with Parentheses.
     Equations word problems.
     System of simultaneous equations.

    3. FRACTIONS, DECIMALS, &PERCENTAGES:


     Converting fractions to decimals and vice versa.
     All four arithmetic operations on rational numbers (which are addition,
    subtraction, multiplication and division).
     Percentage change.
     Discount word problems.

    4. RATIOS &PROPORTIONS:
     Direct ratios.
     Inverse ratios.

    5. GEOMETRY:
     Angle between intersecting lines.
     Angles in triangles.
     Pythagoras theorem & its applications.
     Volume of cylinders, cones and spheres & their word problems.
