The present continuous tense


The present continuous talks about the things that people are doing now .
We use it for : a) Actions happening now at the moment of speaking .
1) My mom is washing the dishes now .
2) He is watering the plants at the moment .
3) At present my father is working abroad .

b) Actions we have arranged to do in the near future .


1) We are going to the theatre tonight .
2) He is flying to Spain in an hour .
3) She is having an exam tomorrow .
Affirmative
