Role of Health Policy and Organizational Structure
Healthcare rules are vital to ensuring people worldwide can get good health services. The
International Council of Nurses (ICN) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are big names in
setting these rules on a global stage. They push for science-backed ways to keep people and
communities healthy. At the core of healthcare rules are goals to make health better, improve how
health care is given, and look at the social causes of health. These rules cover many areas, such as how
healthcare is paid for, training health workers, keeping patients safe, and promoting health. The ICN,
which speaks for nurses all over, works to make nursing and health care better through speaking out,
teaching, and working together. They focus on things like training nurses, care that puts patients first,
and making sure nurses are part of making healthcare rules. The WHO, a top health group globally,
makes guidelines, helps out, and joins countries together to face health problems. Its Health Policy and
Systems department helps countries make and use good healthcare rules that fit global health goals like
health care for all, making primary health care strong, and stopping the spread of sicknesses.
As mental health experts, we believe in mixing mental well-being with the health of our planet.
This link shows us how harm to our world, like air and water pollution, climate change, and losing
plants and animals, affects our mental state (Dalglish et al., 2020). Bad air and big storms can make us
feel more stressed, scared, and sad. So, in our work, we must look out for these dangers and help
reduce their harmful effects. Planetary health also tells us to fix issues like being poor and not treated
fairly, which can make mental health problems worse. By pushing for fair policies, mental health
workers can help lessen these problems and strengthen communities. Making people and communities
more challenging is critical here. Helping folks learn to deal with stress, build friend circles, and live
green helps their minds and makes communities stronger against environmental and social troubles.
Mental health pros have a big chance to speak up and push for changes that make our world and minds
healthier. By backing intelligent city planning, fighting for the climate, and supporting green causes,
they help build better places to live, now and in the future.
As nurses, we have a big job of looking out for many people, each with their own needs. First,
we must stand up for our patients and their families. This means giving care with heart, ensuring they
understand their choices, and keeping them safe by following the best ways of doing things and talking
well with them. By building trust and respect, nurses create a space for healing. Next, we must be there
for our coworkers and other healthcare team members. Working together and supporting each other is
critical to giving top-notch care (Dalglish et al., 2020). Nurses should make a place where everyone
feels welcome, where we share what we know, and where we all feel valued. By working as a team and
talking well, nurses improve care and help each other grow. Lastly, we have a role in the more
extensive community and society. Nurses leave hospitals and clinics to help keep people healthy, stop
The American Nurses Association (ANA) is a big group that speaks for nurses in the US. It
works to make sure nurses do their job well while also fighting for their rights and happiness. The ANA
makes rules and helps nurses learn more so that they can do their jobs better. The International Council
of Nurses (ICN) brings together nursing groups from over 130 countries. It leads and speaks up for
nurses worldwide, working on making healthcare fair for everyone (Dalglish et al., 2020). The ICN
works with others to make nursing more responsible and ethical everywhere. The World Health
Organization (WHO) is critical in making health rules and plans for all countries. It wants everyone to
have the same chance at being healthy by looking at what causes health problems. The WHO works
with nurse groups and others to make nursing more ethical and to take care of health care duties.
Working together to fix big health problems on our planet is vital because these issues are
complex and all linked. Planetary health looks at how the harm we do to the environment, like
pollution and climate change, affects human health. We need experts from many areas - like
environmental science, health, nature study, money matters, society study, and policy-making - to come
together. With challenges like air and water pollution, losing animals and plants biodiversity, and
climate change, we need knowledge from many fields. Teams that combine all this knowledge can
understand these issues and find ways to fix them. It is also essential that environmental experts, health
workers, disease experts, and social scientists work together (Dalglish et al., 2020). This helps in
figuring out risks, finding ways to stop health problems, and lessening lousy health effects. Working
together also makes problem-solving better. Mixing different views and tools lets teams develop better
ways to solve health issues on our planet. For example, using environmental data with health studies
can help us see how pollution affects health and find specific ways to deal with it.
In conclusion, mixing fields of study to look after our planet's health is critical. We need people
from all sorts of work - like scientists, doctors, people who make laws, teachers, and local leaders - to
come together. First, solving big planet health problems means we need to work together. By sharing
what different experts know, we can better understand these issues and find ways to fix them. Second,
when we mix ideas from different areas, we develop new, intelligent ways to tackle these challenging
issues. Third, we need ideas from many fields to make reasonable rules and choices. Using science,
what people in places think, and rule-making know-how helps us make rules and do good things for the
planet and us. Also, teaching people from all areas and getting everyone involved is critical. If we teach
the following leaders and get people to help, we give everyone tools to make a difference and improve
things.
