SELECTION CENTRE SOUTH BANGALORE CALLUP INSTRUCTIONS FOR SSB

INTERVIEW TES-52 TO BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE


NOTIFICATION FOR 10+2 TECHNICAL ENTRY SCHEME-52
COURSE COMMENCING FROM JAN 2025

Dear Candidate,

REQUEST GO THROUGH EACH AND EVERY PARAGRAPH OF THIS CALLUP LETTER


THOROUGHLY BEFORE COMMENCEMENT OF JOURNEY

1. This is to inform that you have been shortlisted to attend Services Selection Board (SSB)
interview at Selection Centre South, Bangalore. Thus, you are required to report at Main Gate of
Selection Centre South, Bangalore, Cubbon Road, near Manipal Centre at 0600 hours
(06.00 AM) as per date mentioned in Call Up letter for the subject interview scheduled to be
conducted at Selection Centre South, Bangalore.
2. Vehicle will be provided for dropping back candidates from Selection Centre to Bengaluru
Cantt Railway Station after results of Stg 1 and also on day 5 after conf results. Vehicle will
depart at 1500hrs from Selection Centre to Bengaluru Cantt.

3. Change of Interview Dates. No Request for change of SSB Interview date/Centre will
be entertained or replied.

4. Local candidates. Withhold your move and contact us by the fastest means and at the
earliest in case of following condition:-
(a) Candidate having a close relation / blood relation posted in any capacity at the
Selection Centre (South), Bangalore.
(b) Candidates, who are wards of serving persons, posted to any defence establishment
in the same station as the Selection Centre (South), Bangalore.
5. In case of local candidate, further instructions regarding change of Centre will be intimated to
you on receipt of such confirmation from you. Withholding information or giving false
information in this regard will render you liable for cancellation of your candidature and
disqualification of commission in case detected subsequently.
Eligibility

6. Please ensure that you fulfill all eligibility criteria strictly as per the Notification
published for 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme-52 Course on our official website
www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. In case of shortcomings if any, candidates will be returned on reporting
for the SSB. Following issues are highlighted:-

(a) Age Limit. The candidates should not be born before 02 Jul 2005 and not after
01 Jul 2008 (both days inclusive).

(b) Education Qualifications. Only those candidates who have passed 10+2
Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics from recognised educational board are eligible to attend the
SSB. Eligibility condition for calculating PCM % of various state / central boards will be based
on marks obtained in Class XII only.

(c) Candidate must have appeared in JEE (Mains) 2024. Following guide lines will be
strictly adhered to for verifying and validating of National Testing Agency (NTA) score
marksheet with the TES application form:-

(i) The NTA Score marksheet should be of the year 2024 only. Any marksheet
produced by the candidate, other than year 2024 is not accepted.

(ii) Rank as per Common Rank List (CRL) of the candidate should match the CRL
filled by him in the application form on the joinindianarmy website (JIA). If any
mismatch in Rank is found in the application form of the candidate, he will not be
allowed to proceed further.

7. Permanent Body Tattoo(s).

(a) Only small innocuous permanent body tattoos are permitted on inner face of forearm
i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side palm/back (dorsal) side of hand.
Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates
will be barred from further selection. Tribes with tattoo marks on the face or body as per
their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis.

(b) Documents Required to be Submitted. In case of permissible tattoos, under


mentioned Appendices to Selection Centre South Bangalore ‘ Tattoo Policy for candidates
appearing for SSB interview with Permanent Body tattoos’ are required to be submitted for
being allowed to continue with selection process :-

(i) Tribal Communities. Self Certification and Certificate from DC/DM/SDM as


per formats attached as Appendix ‘A’ & ‘B’ respectively.

(ii) Non Tribal Communities. Self Certification as per format attached


as Appendix ‘C’.

(c) Please refer detailed policy on permanent body tattoo available at web-link
https://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in/writereaddata/Portal/Images/pdf/tattopolicy2015.pdf
(available under ‘policies’ - ‘Officers selection’).

8. Documents. Candidates will bring following documents in ORIGINAL alongwith


02 x photocopy duly signed & self attested at the time of reporting for Service Selection
Centre (SSB) interviews:-

(a) Two copy of the Print out of online application form duly signed and self
attested Photograph affixed.

(b) Matriculation or Equivalent Certificate for verification of your date of birth. [Any
other certificate issued by the Board concerned (CBSE/State board/ICSE). i.e. Admit
Card/Mark sheet/ transfer/ Leaving Certificate etc in which date of birth is reflected are not
acceptable proof of date of birth].

(c) Marks sheet of matriculation or equivalent.

(d) Intermediate / 10+2 pass certificate.

(e) Mark Sheet of Intermediate / 10+2 examinations.

(f) Valid proof of identity with photograph - Aadhar Card /PAN Card /Voter ID Card/
Passport.

(g) No Claim / Risk Certificate. Format is attached as Appendix ‘D’.

(h) JEE (Mains) Score Card 2024, to confirm the Rank as per Common Rank List
(CRL). The NTA score marksheet , application No & Rank as per CRL will be verified from
the National Testing Agency (NTA) website jeemain.nta.in. A declaration to be submitted by
the candidate as per format att as Appendix ‘E’.

(j) Certificate for Not Having Duplicate profiles/ Registration IDs. A declaration to
this effect as per format attached at Appendix ‘F’.

(k) In case original documents submitted for pursuing Higher studies. Candidates
are required to bring a Bonafide cum custodian Certificate as per Appendix ‘G’ on original
letter head duly signed by the Principal/ Head of Institution where the documents have been
submitted.

(l) Certificate of previous candidature / SSB attempts. Format is attached as


Appendix ‘H’.

9. Special Instructions: Variations in Personal Particulars. Candidates MUST thoroughly


scrutinise all requisite Certificates and documents, including the online application to check if there
is any variation in the personal details particularly Candidate‘s Name & Parents Name from
document to document. In case of minor variations also (eg:- Initials in name, spelling mistakes,
suffixing of middle name/surname etc), the candidates are required to submit an Affidavit stating
the variations in the personal particulars in specific documents and corrective actions taken thereto
(to be elaborated in details). The following aspects be kept in mind while preparing the Affidavit:-

(a) The personal particulars. Candidate’s name & Parents Name as contained in
Matriculation of Equivalent Certificate only will be acceptable.

(b) Due care be taken to address all the variations without leaving any scope for
interpretation / assumption whatsoever of such variations from document to document. In
absence of correct affidavit, the candidate will be returned back without entertaining \
any representations.

Note 1 :- Candidates declared successful in the SSB interview are required to submit at
the earliest a photocopy, duly self attested, of all such provisional degree/ degree certificate
acquired after the SSB interview to Directorate General of Recruiting, New Delhi.

Note2 :- Candidates are further advised that documents already verified at the Selection
Centre need not be submitted again to IHQ MoD (Army). In case of loss of such documents,
the onus will entirely rest upon the candidate.

Instruction for attention of candidates

10. Testing procedure at SSB. This will be conducted over five days in two stages:-

(a) Stage I. The Stage I testing shall commence at 0800 hours (8.00 AM) on the first
day which will comprise of an Intelligence Test and a Picture Perception and Discussion Test
(PPDT).

(b) In case of your rejection in stage I, you shall be returned from the Centre in the
afternoon of the same day.

(c) Stage II. The Stage II tests comprises of Psychological Tests, Group Test I & II
and interview for the next four days.

11. PROCEDURE FOR COMMON CANDIDATES : TES & NDA ENTRY

(a) The candidates who apply for 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) and National
Defence Academy (NDA & NA) parallel courses need to undergo a medical examination by a
Board of Service Medical Officers for the entries recommended.

(b) Those candidates who are recommended for TES prior to their NDA SSB will have to
undergo medical for TES and NDA (AF and Navy) separately. The NDA medical examination
will begin only after the candidate is declared FIT in TES medicals.

(c) If only NDA Army is their preference, these TES candidates need not undergo NDA
medical again.

(d) The candidates who are recommended in NDA prior to SSB for TES need not undergo
medical for TES separately. The Medical status for TES (10+2) will be same as NDA (Army)
medical examination. A candidate declared UNFIT in NDA will be considered UNFIT for TES
as well.

(e) If the candidate is found UNFIT/UNFIT in ANSENTIA at any stage of medical


examination in any entry i.e TES or NDA & NA parallel courses he will be declared UNFIT for
both the entries and no representation will be accepted hereafter.

12. Compensation. Government is not responsible for any compensation to the candidates
or to their guardians/heirs for injuries sustained by them during the period of testing or while using
military transport.

13. Travelling Allowance (TA). Please refer relevant contents given at paragraph number
14 of page number 10 of Notification for ‘Entitlement for Travelling Allowance’. The candidates are
entitled for the TA claim as per AC Tier III/ AC chair car Train fare or actual amount paid which ever
is less. Re-imbursement of TA will be made to Bank Account through NEFT to the candidates Accts/
beneficiary account as per candidate’s choice. To claim TA, if applicable, candidates must submit
TA form (Format attached as Appendix ‘J’), alongwith a copy of the tickets and a cancelled
cheque or a self attested photocopy of first page of bank passbook. TA claims are generally cleared
in 45-60 days. In case of any query related to only TA/DA please contact on Email ID
cubbang@nic.in and Mobile No 8867682295. Please fill up your move details after logging in
http://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. You are liable to forfeit the TA if you:-

(a) Are withdrawn from any stage of Testing due to ineligibility/ cancellation of
candidature.

(b) Make use of any travel concession forms from Defence or any other government
department.

(c) Fail to produce any of the following documents for claiming the TA when reporting for
SSB:-

(i) In case of Rail/Air/Bus travel, original travel ticket purchased offline or Print out
of travel ticket in which the fare amount is mentioned.

(ii) Boarding Pass (in original) in case of Air travel or its printout in case of e-
boarding.

(iii) Cancelled cheque or copy of first page of bank passbook of the account in
which the amount is desired to be transferred.

15. Administrative Instructions. The following administrative instructions are laid down for
Candidates guidance and strict compliance:-
(a) Cash and Valuables. It is advised that, a maximum of Rupees one thousand over
and above what is required for travelling expense may be carried. No valuables should be
carried. Safe custody of cash and valuables will be the responsibility of the candidates.

(b) Free boarding and lodging will be provided to you for the period of your stay at the
Selection Centre. HOWEVER, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO GET A PAIR OF PERSONAL
BED SHEET (02 NOS), PILLOW COVER (02 NOS), A LIGHT BLANKET, PERSONAL
WATER BOTTLE AND RAIN CAPE/UMBRELLA.

(c) No individual will be allowed to go out of the Selection Centre South, Bangalore
premises on the day of screening test (Stage I Test). Hence it is advised that you must bring
your luggage with you at the time of reporting.
(d) Candidates will strictly adhere to laid down timings at all places.

(e) Candidates will not visit testing areas after testing hours.

(f) The conduct of the candidates both in the Selection Centre as well as when visiting
outside areas will be courteous.

(g) Mobile phones will be deposited on arrival and their usage during the stay at
Selection Centre South, Bangalore is strictly prohibited.
(h) Any contravention of above orders/ any act of indiscipline/ malpractices or cheating
during testing will invite immediate cancellation of candidature on disciplinary grounds. Cases
of serious breach of discipline and conduct will be handed over to civil police and FIR
registered accordingly.

(j) Items to be Brought. The following items will be required for the interview:-

16. Change of Address. Change of address, if any after submission of application will be
intimated to “Directorate General of Recruiting (Rtg ‘A’), Adjutant General’s Branch, IHQ of MoD
(Army), West Block- III, RK Puram, New Delhi-110066” (Format attached at Appendix ‘K).
(a) Documentation:-
(i) Candidates to ensure that all documents including any affidavit for wrong name
or tattoos etc as stated in the call up letter are brought along. In case a candidate fails
to produce the required documents at the time of reporting, the candidature will stand
cancelled and NO repeat No representation will be accepted at any stage.
(ii) Latest passport size photographs not older than one week will be brought and
failure to produce the same at the time of reporting will render a candidate disqualified
for appearing for the SSB. Nobody would be allowed to leave the premises for any
documentation or getting photographs.
(iii) Candidate are requested to get a undertaking certificate prior to undergoing
SSB as per Appendix ‘L’.

(b) Candidates who have Resided in Foreign Countries. All candidates who have
resided in Foreign Countries in the last five years must carry with them the following
documents:-

(i) Copy of valid Passport and Visa, as applicable to the country stayed in.

(ii) Complete address of place of stay in the foreign country.

(c) Pendency of any Court Case Against Candidate. “All candidates who have any
court case pending against them, must carry with them the following documents/information:-
(i) Copy of FIR alongwith date of Case.
(ii) Police Station where FIR lodged.
(iii) District Headquarters of concerned districts.
(iv) Court details where the case is pending.
(v) Section of CRPC under which FIR lodged.
(vi) Case No/Date.
(d) Clearance Certificate. A clearance certificate will also be taken from each of
previous employer in respect of candidate who are or were employed under Central/State
Govt undertaking or autonomous bodies.
17. Medical Examination.
(a) In case, you qualify in the Stage II testing, you shall be required to undergo a Special
Medical Board (SMB) over the next four to five days.
(b) In your own interest you are advised to undergo a preliminary medical check-up before
reporting for SSB interview.
(c) Unfit Candidates. In case you are found unfit in the SMB, you are eligible for Appeal
Medical Board (AMB) within 42 days (as applicable)from the date of approval of the SMB. In
case, you are found unfit even in the AMB, a final appeal i.e Review Medical Board (RMB)
applicable has to be submitted within 24 hours of approval of the AMB. Grant or RMB is at
the discretion of the Medical Authorities.
18. THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS ARE TO BE COMPLIED WITH IN FULL TOTALITY. ANY
VIOLATIONS, WILL RESULT IN CANDIDATURE BEING WITHDRAWN.
20. Correspondence.
(a) Candidates must forward all queries/ requests only through Feedback/Queries’,
after logging in to their personal profile on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
(b) Alternate mode of communication for Call up related queries - Tele/ Mob

Note :- Feedback/query section of www.joinindianarmy.nic.in is to be used for Call Up
