The basis for my bachelor thesis has been to preserver also

the lesser valued time layers, to maintain the continuity of
the transformation of Staffanstorp's old sugar refinery. To
achieve this I focused on a demolition-threatened silo from
the 1940s with an extension from the 1970s, to temporally
bind the traditional factory to today's development in the
area.

▼ This project has been an experimentation with a new floor ▶ In front of Sockertoppen public urban streets with lots of
level concept. Instead of flat horizontal levels crossing the full entrances are placed. At the back is a private yard for those
building, each apartment lies on its own level, with a third of living in the block. Here you can take a break from the pacing
a full floor in between. This allows for a continuous "vertical of the streets but also feel comfortable placing your own
street" connection the apartments. outdoor furniture and leave your patio door open.

The last project of the first year at architecture school was

also the first project I was allowed to make digitally after
previously had to draw by hand. It was the perfect
opportunity to try what I'd learn during Sketchup Basecamp
earlier that spring and lead to one of my most overly
ambitious projects.

The student housing Rönnen in Malmö needed to expand

vertically which I solved with an additional apartment
building rather than low density row houses or villas to better
use the centrally located land. The new building with its
smooth curves forms a contrast against the right-angled,
rational, modernistic building underneath.
Four Room Apartment Spanning two Floors One Room Apartment with Loft
The method to create the single curved surfaces was based
on bent paper strips that spontaneously forms a smooth
curve. The building is designed as a landmark för Malmö and
Sweden. With its dominating horizontality it becomes a more
equal skyscraper.

The building mostly contains one room apartment but also

bigger apartments for families with children or for flat mates
to share to increase the diversity within the building.

Schloss Eneburg
2009 – | Spare Time Project

This is the project I refer to as "the castle". It was designed as

the home of my dreams in the Italian Alps (or possibly a
fictional country at the Italian-Austrian border) and is by far
one of biggest spare time projects.

The work started in December 2009 with the dining room

inspired by a dream I had that night. More rooms and
volumes were added over the years until 2013 when I entered
architecture school and no longer had the time to continue.
One of the last additions was my Swedish high school
examination hat on a shelf in my walk in closet at the ninth
floor in the highest tower (there are elevators).

Husebykotten
Feb 2014 | School Project

The assignment for this project was to create a wooden

building less than 15 m^2 big that would add something to
Huseby Bruk's museum and build a big scale model to learn
how wooden buildings are constructed. It was also very much
encouraged to invent a new type of construction for wooden
buildings which I took quite far in my experiment with double
curved walls that ended in the thousands of year old barrel
design. And tape. Lots and lots of tape.

Det första arkitekturprojektet på

arkitektskolan var att göra en paviljong för
UB-parken i Lund. Eftersom parken redan
innehåller så pass många olika konstverk valde
jag att placera min paviljong på en
cortenstolpe där den både sticker ut som ett
landmärke för staden och smälter in bland
trädstammarna för att vara mycket diskret mot
parken.

Den romantiserade, asymmetriska men

samtidigt traditionella stilen är vald för spela
bra mot Universitetsbiblioteket från 1907.

Bibliotek Västra Hamnen

Bibliotekets organiska assymetriska form är inspirerad av

olika föremål som relaterar till Malmö och havet, bl.a.
snäckskal och äldre fartygs luftintag.

Placeringen är vald där strandpromenaden och gatan ifrån

söder möter den öppna ytan som sträcker sig in i staden och
det nedsänkta torget mot havet.

De stora fönstren är riktade norrut för att ta in maximalt med

ljus utan att besökare ska bländas. De ger även en
minimalistisk vy mot havet där kustlinjen skalats bort för att
skapa ett lugn och en harmoni.

A short workshop in the Rhino-Revit workflow resulted in this

building. The relatively simple shape is inspired by the
Gherkin, Londin, while the structure is inspired by my
Husebykotte. The rounded shape of the structural core
continuous outwards through the office floors.

Teater Rotonda
May 2015 | School Project

För att göra något annorlunda från flera av mina tidigare

projekt och problematisera normen inom branschen testade
jag en klassisk byggnad för min teater i Raul Wallenbergs
Park, Malmö.

Byggnaden är främst inspirerad av den avskalade

20-talsklassicismen som jag tror är fullt rimlig att efterlikna
utan att resultatet framstår som alltför pretentiöst eller
tillgjort. Den generella planen och byggnadens geometri är
även inspirerad av Villa Rotonda.

Teater Rotonda

Byggnaden är placerad så den inte delar parken i två eller

skära parken ifrån Gustav Adolfs Torg. Den utgör också en
fond för torgets sydöstra hörn och är synlig ifrån gågatan.

I coded this website from scratch in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript,

PHP and SQL to get full control over the personal expression
and the functionality I desired. The site primarily contains my
portfolio but also contact information and a blog.

Genombrottet
Nov 2014 | School Project

Mitt förslag på en passage igenom ett av Lunds största

kvarter, Svartbröder, har sin utgångspunkt i bevarandet.
Även enklare skjul som i sig saknar historiskt eller
arkitektoniskt värde sparas för att bibehålla den skalvariation
som ger bakgårdar mycket av sin charm.

Passagen innehåller tre distinkta rum. Ett aktivt, öppet med

uteservering och möjlighet till utomhusteater, ett
avkopplande där man kan njuta av en bok och samtidigt
beskåda folkströmmen samt ett aktivt, omslutande
marknadsstråk.

Sputnikstol
Oct 2014 | School Project

Sputnikstolen är en avskalad, enkel, elegant stol vars

utformning är baserad på sputniksatelitens geometrisk enkla
runda kropp med tunna spröt till antenner. Detta har även
kombinerats med en entasis hämtad från klassiskt arkitektur
som ger benen det önskade uttrycket.

Stolen kan enkelt monteras ner i sina beståndsdelar för frakt

och förvaring och är synnerligen lätt i konstruktionen.

Smala Huset

Section 1:100

Uppgiften för arkitektutbildningens första bostadsprojekt var

att rita ett stadsradhus för en 5 m bred och 27 m djup tomt.
Jag valde att experimentera med ett back to back-hus istället
för att göra det uppenbara och placera ett mindre djupt hus
ut mot gatan och ha trädgård bakom.

Resultatet må ha blivit ett misslyckande med stora döytor för

passage men var ändå lärorikt och värt att göra.

Huset kännetecknas av att både ha ett atrium och ett

ljusschakt och bada i ljus samtidigt som det ger en mycket
ombonad känsla eftersom det inte öppnar sig utåt i fler
riktningar än mot gatan.

Mekanisk Artefakt

Den mekaniska artefakten var en inledande workshop för att

träna på att skissa i modell genom att montera ihop skrot och
gestalta under tiden. I min grupp märkte vi att det vi byggde
började likna en fågel och arbetade vidare med den
estetiken.

Pärleporten
Jan 2016 | School Project | Group work with Daniel Zahedpour

Pärleporten utgör en ny entré och framsida till kvarteret

paradiset i Lund. Detta görs i kombination med
funktionsblandning för att att bättre integrera universitetet i
staden.

Projektet består av två byggnader som följer separata

gestaltningsprinciper för att koppla till den skala och
brokighet som redan finns i kvarteret. Tekniskt är
byggnaderna däremot densamma med delat fläktrum i
källaren för att effektivare återvinna spillvärme.

Det södra huset innehåller studieplatser med café och det

norra lägenheter med lokal i bottenvåningen. Det södra huset Places for Studying in the South Buidling
speglar Helgo Zettervalls kapell för att skapa en axialitet hos
förplatsen som drar besökare in i kvarteret.

För att tydligt kommunicera att den södra byggnaden är

publik tillämpas den modernistiska gestaltningsprincipen
med plattor och skivor. Den norra huset är en monolit med
och utgör en förlängning av grannhusets volym.

Båda byggnaderna använder samma ljusa träpanel för att,

trots skillnad i form, visa att de hör ihop och för att
kommunicera hållbarhet. Båda byggnaderna innehåller
också "glasvirke", ett glasparti med en postmodernistisk
referens till det korsvirke som finns i ett av grannhusen.

 I'm Christina, an architecture student and geek from Lund,
Sweden. My special interest besides architecture has for
several years been programming and I often invent my own
tools as an integrated part of my design process. I have more
recently also become more interested in the context and how
it relates to the individual building, both spatially and
socially.
