Undertaking by Students/Parents
“To make the students attend the classes regularly from the first day of
starting of classes and be aware of the College and University regulations,
the following Undertaking Form is introduced which should be signed by
both student and parent. The same should be submitted to the concerned
course coordinator or administrative officer on the day of starting of
semester classes.”
I, Mr / Miss ________________________________________joining for

MFC/BBA/BCA - I/ II / III / IV / V / VI Semester for the academic year 2013-
14 in Arya School of Management & IT, Bhubaneswar under Utkal
University do hereby undertake and abide by the following terms, and
conditions, I will bring the acknowledgement duly signed by me and my
parent on the opening / re-opening day, dt ___________ at the College.
1. I will attend all the classes from the opening/re-opening day of the
College on dt_____________ as per the timetable, failing which I am liable
to pay a fine at the rate of Rs.50/- per day for the first one month. In case, I
do not turn up even after one month of starting of classes, I will pay Rs 100/-
per day in subsequent month or the college management may detain me
from appearing in the University Odd/ Even Semester examination.
2. I will attend all the classes regularly throughout the year. In case of
medical reasons or other unavoidable circumstances, I will submit the leave
application along with supporting documents to my course coordinator/
Administrative Officer within 2 days of rejoining my classes.
3. I will be regular and punctual to all the classes (theory/practical/seminar)
and secure attendance of not less than 75% in each subject as stipulated by
Utkal University. I am fully aware that attendance less than 75% in any of
the subjects will make me heavy penalty for the current year and I will be
debarred of the University Examinations.
4. I will compulsorily follow the rules & regulation, dress code and uniform
prescribed by the college. I will abide by the dress code rules always;
otherwise I may not be allowed to enter the college premises
5. I will conduct myself in a highly disciplined and decent manner both
inside the
Class room and in the campus, failing which suitable disciplinary action may
be taken against me as per the rules and regulations of the College.
6. I will concentrate on my studies without wasting time in the
Campus/Hostel/Residence and attend all the internal exam, assignment,
unit test to secure more than the minimum prescribed Class / Sessional
Marks in each subject. I will submit the assignments given in time to
improve my performance.
7. I will not bring Mobile Phone to the College campus and also, I will not
involve in any form of ragging inside or outside the campus. I am fully
aware that bringing mobile phone to the campus and involving in Ragging is
a Criminal offence and punishable as per university rules/Law.
8. I will pay tuition fees, examination fees and any other dues within the
stipulated time as notified by the college authorities failing which I will not
be permitted to fill up the university exam forms and I will be debarred of
the term end University Examinations.
9. I will not cause or involve in any sort of violence or disturbance both
within and outside the college campus during the studentship of self in the
college.
10. If I absent continuously for 3 or more classes, my parents will have to
meet the concerned AO/Course Coordinator/SWO/Director.
11. I will interact with my course coordinator and mentor at least twice
every week and discuss relevant matters with him/her.
12. I will not indulge in any ragging/ indiscipline activities inside/ outside
the college/Hostel campus. If found involved in any such activities,
suspension/ expulsion of myself maybe undertaken by the concerned college
authorities. If found involved in ragging, the college may lodge an FIR
against me. If I will violate the rules and regulation/decorum of the college, I
will liable to pay penalty (on different heads) as per the college regulation
mention in the college calendar which is received by me earlier.

Rules & Regulations
Attendance
A minimum of 75% attendance is compulsory according to the University
rules and regulations. Students who do not fulfill this statutory requirement
shall be detained from appearing in the University examination.
Evaluation
The degree is awarded by the University after the successful completion of
the course. The University's written/practical/viva examination will be held
in each subject at the end of each semester. The Internal assessment marks
are awarded by the respective faculty members, which are taken into account
in determining the division. The mark sheet after each semester examination
is issued by the University. Internal Assessment of marks depends upon
regular attendance in the class, performance in tests/viva-voce, preparation
of project reports, active participation in tutorial classes, group discussion,
seminars and other activities. The behavior and attitude of the students in the
campus is also considered while awarding internal marks. The quarterly
progress of the students regarding their studies is intimated to their
parents/guardians so that they remain well informed about the activities of
their wards. The faculty members and the CC/AO/SWO/Director of the
Institute remain in close contact of the students to sort out their problems.
Discipline
The students will strictly adhere to the rules and regulations that the Institute
may frame from time to time, regarding evaluation system, minimum
standards of academic performance, discipline and attendance etc.,
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I have gone through carefully the terms of the above undertaking and
understand that these are meant for my/his/her own benefit and
improvement. I also understand that if I/he/she fail to comply with these
terms, will be liable to suitable action as per college/university rules and
law. I undertake that I/he/she will strictly follow the above terms.
