    Details
    Skardu is a city in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan and serves as the capital of the Skardu District. Skardu is located in the 10 kilometers (6 miles) wide by 40
    kilometers (25 miles) long Skardu Valley, at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar Rivers at an altitude of nearly 2,500 meters (8,202 feet). The city is an important
    gateway to the eight thousand of the nearby Karakoram Mountain range. The town is located on the Indus river, which separates the Karakoram Range from the
    Himalayas.
    The Shigar Valley is a valley in Gilgit Baltistan in northern Pakistan that is watered by the Shigar River and centered in the town of Shigar. The valley stretches about 170
    km from Skardu to Askole and is the gateway to the high mountains of the Karakoram.
    Basho is a beautiful and picturesque valley in Skardu Valley at a distance of about one and half hour drive from the Skardu city. The valley is covered by the lush
    evergreen forest of different species, pastures, and gushing, gurgling and trickling streams which make it a part of heaven.
