I. Context and Rationale

(It includes the description and context of the study and the reason for

conducting it, how the results could be of use in action planning, the nature, extent,

and salience of the identified problem or issue are comprehensively discussed

different aspects of the action research setting are elaborated showing in-depth and

critical analysis of the situation. Write observations with local scenarios, and support

that the phenomenon is true. Explains why the research study is formulated. End the

discussion by stating that the phenomenon inspires you/ motivates you/ encourages

you to focus on it in a target environment.)

II. Action Research Questions

The study will be conducted to (restate the title or the overall goal of the

study) in (identify the target research environment and research participants) during

(timeline).

Specifically, it answers the following queries:

1.

2.

3.

4.

III. Proposed Innovation, Intervention, and Strategy

(The proposed plan of action. Innovation, Intervention, or Strategy with

immediate benefits for Teacher/s, Students, Schools, or Communities. Proposed plan

for improving learning and teaching practice. You may add citations that support your

intervention plan.

IV. Action Research Methods

a. Participant and/or other Sources of Data and Information

(Details are provided about the target participants (ex: number,

characteristics, sampling procedure if any and/ or other sources of data and

information. Clear rationale for their inclusion in the study is given.)

b. Data Gathering Methods

(This explains why the selected data-gathering method(s) is suited to the

purpose of the action research. The data gathering method(s) is aligned with the

research questions. Research instruments, if any are appropriate for obtaining the

desired kind of data/information.

Qualitative –When the researcher utilizes interview, Focus Group Discussion,

Observation, Documents, and other narrative analysis.

Quantitative – When the researcher uses a survey questionnaire, tests, and

other data that involves numbers. This includes experimental studies.

Mixed Method – When the researcher used both Qualitative and Quantitative)

c. Data Analysis Plan

(Indicates how the data will be analyzed and reported; it should specify the

qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis that will be used in analyzing the data

gathered for the research.)

VII. Plans for Dissemination and Utilization

(Dissemination is the transfer of research-based knowledge to the ones that can best

make use of it. The aims of dissemination are awareness; understanding and action.

Typically, research is not fully complete until the findings have been made widely available.

Utilization is the process of synthesizing, disseminating, and using research-

generated knowledge to make an impact on or change the existing practice. The purpose of

research utilization s to address the problems by using research findings in practice.

How the results of the action research will be utilized and plans for
