For a full list of all of the Visa Application Charges (VAC) for all subclasses processed both in Australia and in offshore posts please go to:
The Visa application Charge (VAC) is the fee that must be paid for a visa application to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. In
some cases there is no (nil) fee.
The fees paid when lodging an application online, are paid by credit card, in Australian Dollars.
If you cannot lode your application online, the fee can be paid at the Australian Visa Application Centre in Beirut when lodging a paper application.
When paying at the Visa Application Centre, the fee must be paid in cash in United States Dollars (USD) only.
The Australian Visa Application Centre will transfer your paper application and the fee to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection at the
Australian Embassy for processing.
Service Fees paid to the Australian Visa Application Centre must be paid in by cash in Lebanese Pounds (LBP) at the Visa Application Centre.
The preferred method of lodgement is online though ImmiAccount. https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login . If you are unable to lodge online you can
send a paper application by post or courier to the Australian Embassy in Beirut, except where it is indicated that they are required to be lodged in
Australia. Clients from Cyprus posting or couriering their applications to the Australian Embassy in Beirut will not need to provide their biometrics.
Cyprus citizens are eligible to apply for eVisitor (subclass 651). This visa is available online for no charge.
Clients in Cyprus can pay visa application charges by credit card authorisation (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, Diners, JCB). Payments are processed in
Australian Dollars. Family members or other contacts in Australia can also pay at any departmental office in Australia and include the official receipt
with the application.
Government employees travelling for business ‘acting as a representative of a foreign government’ – Nil VAC
For Subclass 600 Visitor and Subclass 400 Temporary Work – Short Stay Activity visas, applicants are entitled for a ‘nil’ VAC if they are applying for a
visa in the course of ‘acting as a representative of a foreign government’. In most cases, such persons will identify themselves at time of application
by presenting a diplomatic, or official, passport. However, the ‘nil’ VAC applies equally to applicants presenting other types of travel documents
provided officers are satisfied as to the applicant’s representative status. Applicants who wish to be considered for a Nil VAC should submit a
letter from their government agency supporting the application and outlining the purpose for their visit to Australia.
Note – while the VAC is waived for government representatives, the applicants may still have to pay the AVAC service fee in LBP to submit
their application and collect biometrics.
You can pay online for paper applications using the Pre-pay Paper Service option within the Manage Payments section in ImmiAccount. A copy of the
receipt should be attached to your application when it is lodged with the Department.
