He complained to the hotel manager who moved David to a large airy comfortable room
on the first floor next to Steerforth’s room.

swimming and boating. They had a wonderful time.

Peggotty was surprised, pleased and she cried when she recognised him. David kept

He felt a little jealous because he was unsure if he still loved Emily or not. David didn’t
know what to say but Steerforth with a few well-chosen words made them all feel happy.

mother died so he started drinking and neglect his work. Uriah was very clever and knew
all of these so he was useful to Mr. Wickfield. Uriah wanted to be Mr. Wickfield’s partner.
