Install VMWare Workstation & Create Virtual Machine
1
Lab: 1
Introduction
The main goal of this lab was to set up virtual machines and interact with
VMware. I already installed VMWare in semester 1. So, because of this, we began
by installing the Windows 10 iso file on a virtual machine. After that, we built the
computer according to the specs, which display your machine's name, CPU, total
RAM, etc., by following the comprehensive instructions. I downloaded the Chrome
browser once the installation was finished and visited a few websites to make sure
our virtual machine was operational. Subsequently, I selected Virtual
Machine\Manage\ via the context menu. Make a copy of the virtual computer by
cloning it. Ultimately, I used alternative networking choices, such as bridged and
NAT.

Reflection
In this lab, my main task was to set up and explore virtual machines using VMware
Workstation. Since I had VMware installed from a previous semester, I was already
comfortable with the basics. I began by installing a Windows 10 ISO file onto a
new VM, following the instructions to configure it with the specified resources.
After the installation, I tested the VM by downloading Google Chrome and
browsing the web to ensure everything was functioning properly. I then cloned
the VM and experimented with different networking settings, such as Bridged and
NAT. This practical experience helped me appreciate the flexibility and power of
virtual environments in various computing tasks.
