Present Continuous (Hiện tại tiếp diễn.

I. Cách dùng
- Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn diễn tả một hành động đang diễn ra ở thời điểm nói hoặc một sự sắp xếp chắc
chắn sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai.
- Công thức:
(+) S + am/is/are + Ving +O.
(-) S + am/is/are + not + Ving + O.
(?) Am/Is/Are + S + Ving + O ?
Wh- Wh + am/is/are + S + Ving + O ?
* Quy tắc thêm ing:
- Chữ cuối cùng là e thì bỏ e thêm ing (E.g.: ride → riding.
- Chữ cuối cùng là ee thì không bỏ e và thêm ing bình thường (E.g.: see → seeing.
- Hai chữ cuối cùng là nguyên âm + phụ âm thì gấp đôi chữ cuối cùng, trừ các phụ âm h,w,x,y.
E.g.: play → playing ; stop → stopping
- Hai chữ cuối cùng là ie thì đổi ie thành y và thêm ing (E.g.: lie → lying.
II. Dấu hiệu:
- Những từ có nghĩa là “giờ”, “bây giờ”: now, right now, at the moment, at the present, these days,
today,…..
- Những từ mang nghĩa cảnh báo, cẩn thận: Look !, Watch !, Look out !, Watch out !,…..
