TAPE SCRIPT SOAL LISTENING UN TP 2016/2017

Listening Section
In this section of the test, you will have the chance to show how well you understand spoken English.
There are four parts to this section with special directions for each part.
PAIRT I
Questions 1 to 4.
Directions:
In this part of the test you will hear some dialogues and questions spoken in English The dialogues and
the questions will be spoken twice. They will not be printed in your test book, so you must listen
carefully to understand what the speakers are saying. After you listen to the dialogue and the questions
about it, read the five possible answers, and decide which one would be the best answer to the question
you have just heard. Now listen to a sample question.

Woman : Didn't Kathy go travelling to Japan with you last month?
Man : Are you kidding? Even if it didn't cost anytthing, she'd rather stay at home.

PART II

Directions:
in this part of the test, you will hear some incomplete dialogues spoken in English, followed by four
responses, also spoken in English. The dialogues and the responses will be spoken twice. They will not
be printed in your test book, so you must listen carefully to understand what the speakers are saying.
You have to choose the best response to each question.
Now listen to a sample question.

Man : Hi, Nancy. What are you doing here?
Woman : Are you waiting for someone?
Man : No, I’m waiting for a taxi. I want to go to a book store.

PART III

Directions:
In this part of the test. you will hear sorne monologues spoken in English. The monologues will be
spoken twice. They will not be printed in your test book, so you must listen carefully to what the
speakers are saying. After you listen to the monologue, look at the five pictures provided in your test
book, and decide which would be the most suitable one for the monologue you have just heard.
8.This is a place we can find information about the past. some parts of the place had been designed to
look the
same as the past, some other parts are used to keep some artifacts and other unique thing found in some
areas, teachers usually asked the students to attend this place so they can learn by themselves, however
many teenagers and not interested, they are like going to cinemas almost.

This place Temple is one of Bali’s most important landmarks, famed for its unique offshore setting and
sunset backdrops. An ancient Hindu shrine perched on top of an outcrop amidst constantly crashing
waves; This place is simply among Bali’s not-to-be-missed icons.

Nearly everybody has heard of King Tut, whose tomb was discovered by archaeologist Howard Carter
in 1922. The tomb was filled with wonderful artifacts, almost certainly the most valuable ones ever
found in one place in the world. Absolutely the best of the bunch is King Tut’s death mask, crafted of
gold, lapis lazuli, carnelian and other semiprecious stones. King Tutankhamun was a short-lived
pharaoh during the previously mentioned Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. King Tut’s mummy has
probably been probed more than any other in history.
