    1. Service release 3
    The new novaPro Open 3.1 SR 3 can be downloaded from the extranet using the following link:

    2. Notes
    Please note:
    This is a service release of novaPro Open. It can be downloaded from the extranet or ordered as a
    DVD (YZP420F999).
    All other preceding service releases from version 3.1 are included in this version, and will therefore
    be removed from the extranet. novaPro Open 3.1 SR 3 is therefore the latest version of novaPro
    Open.

    3. Installation prerequisites
    A back-up of the existing installation must be made prior to installation.

    Supported operating systems:


    − Windows 2003 Server R2 SP1, (multi-language, 32 bits)
    − Windows XP SP2 or higher, (multi-language, 32 bits)
    − Windows Vista Business & Ultimate SP1 (multi-language, 32 bits)

    System requirement:

    o Computer: Pentium III 800 MHz (recommended dual core 2.1 GHz and up). nPO supports multi-
    processor architectures, dual-core processors, chipsets using “hyper-threading” technology
    o Memory: 1 GB (recommended 2 GB).
    o Hard Disk: min. 2 GB.
    o Graphic card: 512 MB (recommended 1 GB).
    o Monitor: Resolution 800 X 600 or higher.
    o Mouse: Any PC compatible mouse.
    o USB Port: Required for the system's security plug.
    o Correctly configured TCP/IP: IP address can be fixed or provided by a DHCP server
    o Web server: A web server is required for publishing the application. MS IIS version 5.1 or higher
    (Internet Information Server) are recommended.
    o Browser: Java and JavaScript have to be activated. Cookies should be allowed. For nPO web
    pages, any browser with SUN JAVA plug-in 1.6.2 or higher is supported.

    4. Installation instructions
    1. Close all novaPro Open applications.
    2. Close all other applications and disable any anti-virus programs.
    3. If an existing application is upgraded, read carefully the upgrade document.
    4. Unzip the downloaded zip file into a new folder (with folder structure) and run the installation
    program at "newfolder\Programs\setup.exe"
    or run "\Programs\setup.exe" straight from the DVD.
    5. Follow the instructions.

    5. Service Release contents
    This service release 3 contains all previously released service packs from novaPro Open version 3.1
    onwards. The changes that have been made in these service packs can be read in the previous
    provided “PI”. Following issues are corrected:

    5.1 Sauter components


    2010/1185: Sauter components docs is impossible to uninstall if current user is different from
    installation user.
    2010/1198: Tag Editor freezes when Alarm Time-delay is greater than 32767.

    5.2 nPo wrapper


    2010/1173: "modify" button is not active.

    5.3 BACnet driver


    2010/1264: BCC: Transfers history on startup.
    2010/1258: No iteration by read range by time with "max count".
    2010/1303: This device or this schedule is not available.
    2010/1121: Database is not refreshed if images are deleted.

    5.4 novaNet driver

    2010/1306: After a cyclic verification, $STxxx tag must be set to 1.

    6. Coming next
    A new version from nPO is in work, it will be the version 4.0. The main new features concern the
    compatibility with windows 7. A new trend module will replace and improve the existing one.

    7. EBal
    From January 2011, EBal (Reference: YZP450F010, YZP450F020, YZP450F030, YZP450F050,
    YZP450F051, YZP450F110, YZP450F111, YZP450F120, YZP450F121, YZP450F130,
    YZP450F131, YZP450F150, YZP450F151, YZP450F201, YZP450F999) is no longer sold. The
    successor product is Sauter EMS.
