Chapter III Ciroy
This chapter sequentially presents the summary of the study, the findings,
conclusions, recommendation offered.
The main purpose of this study is to explore and describe the lived experiences of
selected Grade 12 learners in their journey towards developing digital literacy at Bilar
National High School, Yanaya, Bilar, Bohol for the school year 2022-2023 with the use
of phenomenological research design. Specifically, it seeks to answer the following
aspects questions:(1) How did the participants describe their experiences in developing
digital literacy? (2) What are their perceived needs in developing digital literacy? (3)
What insights can be drawn from their experiences?
This study is a descriptive phenomenological research design that utilized semi-
structured interviews using an interview guide as the main data collection method. The
ethical considerations in conducting this research were strictly followed throughout the
study.

Recommendations
Considering the salient findings of the study, the following are hereby recommended by
the researcher:
1.Experential Learning Opportunities. Provide hands-on experiences and practical
activities that allow learners to actively engage with digital technologies. This includes
interactive workshops, online simulations, collaborative projects, or real-world problem-
solving tasks. Through this learner can enhance their understanding and confidence.
2.Collaborative Learning Opportunities. Foster a supportive and collaborative learning
environment where learners can share their experiences, exchange ideas, and
collaborate on digital projects. Encourage peer-to-peer interactions, group discussions,
and mentorship opportunities to enhance learners’ digital literacy development through
social learning.
3.Lennding Gadgets to Students. Lending gadgets to students helps remove barriers to
access technology, it provides hands-on learning experiences, and facilitates the
development of digital literacy skills. It promotes inclusivity, enhances educational
opportunities, and prepares students for a digitally connected world.
4. Wi-Fi installation. It is important in developing digital literacy as it provides
accessibility, connectivity, flexibility, access to digital resources, integration of
technology, and real-world connectivity. By enabling students to connect to the internet
and engage with digital tools and resources, Wi-Fi supports their digital literacy
development and prepares them for the digital age.
