    2ND ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE 12th GRADUATION CEREMONY- 18TH OCT.2024

    1. RELEASE OF 1ST PROVISIONAL GRADUATION LIST


    Senate has today, 4th October, 2024 approved the first Graduation list.
    Note that:
    a) This is a provisional list and it has been taken to Finance for fee clearance.
    Those with fee arrears including graduation fee will be expunged from the list.
    You however have upto Monday, 7th October 2024 by 500 pm to clear the fees.
    b) The list is made up of all candidates who have met academic requirements.
    c) For any queries, see your Dean of School by Monday, 7th October 2024 before
    5.00pm.
    2. GRADUATION DATE
    Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology wishes to inform
    ALL candidates who qualified for the conferment of various degrees and award of
    diplomas and certificates of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and
    Technology in the 2023/2024 Academic Year, that the 12th Graduation Ceremony
    will take place on Friday 18th October 2024 starting from 8.30am at the Main
    Campus, Bondo. All Graduands and guests should be seated by 8.00 am.
    3. VERIFICATION OF NAMES
     All prospective graduands are advised to check the JOOUST website from
    today to confirm if their names are in the graduation list and also ensure the
    correctness of their names as would be desirable in the certificates.
    Provisional Graduation lists is available on the University website
    www.jooust.ac.ke .
    The correct order of names is:
    (Surname/Family Name) (First name) (Other names)
    Note: Initials not allowed. Note that after the certificates have been printed out,
    requests for changes in the order of names will attract a penalty.
     The deadline for correction of names and confirmation of names in the
    graduation lists is strictly Monday, 7th October, 2024. Corrections should
    be sent to racademic@jooust.ac.ke. by 5.00pm.

    4. FEE PAYMENT
    Prospective graduands should ensure that they have cleared all fees and charges
    owed to the University. Only those who have cleared all fees and any other
    charges will be included in the graduation list and be allowed to graduate.
    5. FILLING OF CLEARANCE FORMS

     It is a mandatory requirement for students to fill the official clearance forms .


    The clearance forms are available in the student’s portal for students who have
    successfully cleared their studies and paid full fees and all other charges.
     Only students who have duly filled clearance forms will have their names in
    the graduation list.

    5. GRADUATION FEE

    Graduands will be required to pay a non-refundable graduation fee as indicated


    below:

     PhD - Kshs.6,000/-
     Masters - Kshs.5,000/-
     Bachelors - Kshs.4,000/-
     Diploma - Kshs.3,500/-
     Certificate - Kshs.3,000/-

    All fees should be paid to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and
    Technology: Equity Bank, Cooperative Bank OR KCB Bank Bondo Branch OR any
    other branches of these banks countrywide. Please obtain and print a fee
    statement from your portal and take to Finance Office for signing and stamping.
