    AUTO ELECTRICAL TEST BENCH


    (STARTER / ALTERNATOR)

    Auto Electrical Test Bench is a versatile test bench for electrical testing of auto engine components such as
    starter & alternator. In built supply with voltage stabilizer. It can be used for demonstration and/or testing
    purposes to enhance student diagnostic and fault finding skills. The system is specially designed to aid the
    student in the proper connection and operation of starter and alternator. Instruction Manual is provided.

    The complete experimental kit consists of following parts:


    One MCB (TP) is also fitted as “MAINS ON/OFF SWITCH” for complete setup
    STARTER TEST SECTION :
    Digital voltmeter fitted on the front panel to display the Input Voltage of the Starter
    Digital Ammeter fitted on the front panel to display the Input Current of the Starter
    “ON/OFF START” Push-to-On switch is provided for Starter testing
    ALTERNATOR TEST SECTION :
    Digital voltmeter fitted on the front panel to display the Output voltage of the Alternator
    Digital Ammeter fitted on the front panel to display the Load Current of the Alternator
    A 3-Phase Induction Motor is fitted inside the metal box for rotating the Alternator though belt arrangement.
    A “SERIES TESTER” is also provided with terminals to be connected in series with the component to be tested
    (as continuity tester)
    “LOAD” section is provided with four SPST switches
    A Red indicator is provided for observing the charging Status of Battery/Alternator
    Green & Red Push Buttons, marked as “DRIVE MOTOR SATRTER”, are provided for starting & stopping the
    3-Phase Motor connected with Alternator through belt
    Terminals are provided on the front panel with proper markings for connecting Starter’s (+, SIGNAL, -) &
    Alternator’s (+SENSE, IGNITION LIGHT, +VE, GROUND) Inputs.
    Separate Stands are provided for fitting of Starter & Alternator on the bench for easy handling, testing
    One Red & one Black Leads with clamps are provided for connecting external 12V DC battery with the test
    bench
    One Line Connector (R,Y,B,N) is also provided on the L.H.S. of the metal box for connecting external 3-Phase
    Power Supply with the test bench
