1. Starter Switch

O – Turns engine “Off” (Some electrical circuits are


still powered, such as the interior cabin light)

I – Turns electrics “On”, & starts the self test of the


LCD display & buzzer (approx 2 secs)

- Engine cranking position

9. Transmission Lever

Ref Function (Method)


F Forward Direction Selection (Push lever forward)
N Neutral
R Reverse Direction Selection (Pull lever back)
1~4 1: First gear
1~4 2: Second gear
3: Third gear
4: Fourth gear

Notes:
• On the 4 speed transmissions, 3rd gear is the highest available gear in reverse.
• In “Manual mode” the number selected will be the drive gear used (unless kick-down is applied in 2nd gear)
• In “Automatic mode” 2~4, the number selected will be the highest gear that that the transmission can select &
the machine will use 2nd gear to start whenever possible.
(1st gear is still possible to be selected by use of kick-down)
• In “Automatic mode” 1~4, the number selected will be the highest gear that that the transmission can select &
the machine will use 2nd gear to start whenever possible, but will automatically shift down into 1st gear when
required.

1. Fuel Gauge
Displays the amount of fuel in the tank.

Displays the machines operating hours
(Actual alternator outputting)
The hour glass icon blinks every 4
seconds while the hour meter is
running.

Displays the engine rpm.

Displays the engines operating
temperature.

Displays the temperature of the
transmission oil as it leaves the
transmission on its way to the
transmission cooler.

C. Indicates that an error has occurred


& that the code is stored.

operation

8. Preheat Indicator Light


This light will be “On” while the preheating is
in progress.
Do not attempt to start while the light is “On”

9. Air Cleaner Filter Is Clogged Light


This light will be “On” if the air cleaner is
clogged by dirt.
If this light is “On”, stop the machine &
replace the air cleaner filters.
(The light should not become lit if the air
cleaner is replaced at the correct
service intervals, except in exceptional
circumstances).

10. Battery Charging Light


This light will be “On” while the engine
is running if the alternator has a failure.

11. Left Turn & Hazard Warning Light


This light will be “On” if the left turn
signal or hazard warning lights are “On”.

12. High Beam Indicator Light


This light turns “On” when high beam is
selected for the headlights.

13. Right Turn & Hazard Warning Light


This light will be “On” if the right turn signal or
hazard warning lights are “On”.

14. Working Light Indicator Light


This light is “On” when either the front &/or rear
working lights are “On”.

15. Brake Pressure Warning Light


This light is “On” when the brake charging pressure is
too low.
If this light comes “on” the machine should be stopped
& not worked again until the fault has been rectified
“On”.

16. Second Forward/Reverse Active Warning Light


This light is “On” when the second forward/reverse
selector system is activated (FNR on joystick lever).

17. Parking Brake Indicator Light


This light is “On” when the parking brake is applied.
This light will be “On” & the buzzer will sound if
forward or reverse are selected while the parking
brake is applied.

18. Emergency Steering Indicator Light (Optional)


This light is “On” when the Emergency Steering is
activated due to a hydraulic failure.
If the light turns “on” stop the machine at once &
rectify the fault before moving the machine again.

20. Quick Coupler Indicator Light (Optional)


This light is “On” when the quick coupler switch is
released position.

20. Engine Oil Pressure Warning Symbol


If the engine oil pressure drops too low this light is
“On” & the engine should stopped & the fault rectified.
The light will also be on when the starter key is turned
“On” but the engine is not running.

21. Engine Coolant Temperature Warning Symbol


If the engine overheats this light is “On” the buzzer will
sound & the engine speed will be reduced.

2. Kick Down Switch


The kick down switch functions to
down shift the transmission provided
that the change is possible without
over speeding the engine & provided
that it is within the following rules:

- Only from 2nd gear in manual mode

- In 2, 3 or 4th gear when in automatic


mode

NOTE:

Kick down is released either by selecting neutral


or by pressing the kick down button again.

3. Horn Switch
Pressing either the lower button on
the upper face of the joystick lever,
or the button on the end of the right
hand combination switch will sound

4. Cigarette Lighter
The cigarette lighter is 24V & so
must not be used for the charging of
mobile phones etc.

5. Transmission Shift Switch


MAN – Transmission works in the
gear as set on the column switch
1-4 - Transmission works
automatically between 1st & 4th gear
as the load & speed demand.
2-4 - Transmission works
automatically between 2nd & 4th gear
as the load & speed demand (1st
gear is accessible by kick-down)

NOTES:

The maximum gear in 1-4 & 2-4 is set by the


rotation position of the column selector switch.

On the 4 speed transmission the maximum gear


for each direction is:
4th gear Forward
3rd gear Reverse

6. Headlight Switch
O – In this position the headlights are turned “Off”
I – In this position the clearance (side lights), tail,
instrument panel & switch lights are turned “On”
II – In this position the clearance (side lights), tail,
instrument panel, switch lights & headlights are
turned “On”

7. Front Work Light Switch


O – In this position the front work lights are turned
“Off”
I – In this position the work lights mounted on the
top of the cabin at the front are turned “On””

8. Rear Work Light Switch


O – In this position the work lights mounted on top
of the rear of the cabin & the sides of the radiator
are turned “Off”
I – In this position the work lights mounted on the
sides of the radiator are turned “On”
II – In this position the work lights mounted on top of
the rear of the cabin & the sides of the radiator are
turned “On”

9. Rear Wiper Switch


O – In this position the rear wiper is turned “Off”
I – In this position the rear window washer sprays
washer fluid on to the rear window
II – In this position the rear window wiper is turned
“On”

10. Pilot Cutoff Switch


O – In this position the pilot control
valve (Joystick) can work the
hydraulics
I – In this position the pilot supply to
the pilot control valve (Joystick) is
disconnected, so it cannot work the
hydraulics.

11. Parking Brake Switch


O – In this position the parking brake
is released
I – In this position the parking brake
is applied, the warning light is
displayed & if the operator attempts
to select forward or reverse gears,
the transmission will prevent it & the
buzzer will sound.

12. Transmission Cut-off Switch


O – In this position the transmission cut-off function
is turned “Off”.
When applying the brake the transmission will not
automatically be disconnected.
(This mode is for road work or any other work that
involves long or steep descents)
I – In this position the transmission will be cut-off
automatically once the brake pressure reaches a
set value.
This automatic cut-off means that more power is
available to the hydraulics for faster operation.
[This function only works in 1st & 2nd gears]

13. Boom Float Switch (Option)


O – In this position the boom float cut out is turned
“Off”
I – In this position if the boom float is locked in,
the boom float magnets will be released once the
boom rises to the preset level.

14. Load Isolation System (LIS) Switch (Option)


O – In this position the LIS is turned “Off”
I – In this position the LIS is turned “On” at all
speeds.
II – In this position the LIS is turned “On” only once
the travel speed is:
>6kph (3.7 mph) forward
>4kph (2.5 mph) reverse
It will automatically once the speed:
<4kph (2.5 mph) forward
<2kph (1.2 mph) Reverse

15. Not Used

16. Emergency Steering Test Switch


O – In this position the emergency steering is turned
“Off”.

I – In this position the emergency steering can be


tested, as while the switch is pressed the
emergency steering pump will run.

17. Rotating Beacon Switch (Option)


O – In this position the Beacon is turned “Off”
I – In this position the Beacon is turned “On”

18. Power Socket For 12 Volts

Note:
This 12 volt DC outlet is meant for supplying small
low power devices, such as mobile phone chargers
& must not be used to supply high power devices

20. F/R (Forward/Reverse) Selector Switch


O – In this position the F/R control is turned “Off”
I – In this position F/R control is turned “On”, &
when released will return to the “O” position
although the F/R control will remain “On”.
Pressing the switch again will turn the F/R Control
”Off”.

21. F/R (Forward/Reverse) Control Switch


With the F/R Selector Switch “On”:
O – In this position the transmission is in neutral
I – In this position the transmission is in Forward
II – In this position the transmission is in Reverse

Note:
If the transmission lever is moved out of the neutral
position, while the F/R selector switch is “On”, it will
override the F/R selector switch.
To reactivate the F/R selector switch the transmission
lever must be returned to the neutral position & the
F/R selector switch pressed.

Notes:

• Operate the air conditioning for 20 to 30 minutes a week to circulate the refrigerant in
the system. (The blower must be switched on & the engine running during this
operation)

• The outer air conditioning (fresh air) filter must be cleaned at least every 50 hours &
replaced with a new one every 500 hours. The inner air conditioning (recirculation) filter
must be cleaned at least every 500 hours & replaced with a new one every 1,000
hours. (If the machine is being operated in a dusty environment, the cleaning &
replacement will have to be done more frequently.)
