ABOUT ALGOUTSAV
AlgoUtsav is organized by Algorithms and Programming
Society, NIT Rourkela (NITR) registered under the
Technical Society of Student Activity Centre (SAC), NIT
Rourkela.
It is a competition
designed to test your
abilities to solve a
range of time- and
memory-limited
competitive
programming issues.
You will also compete against students from other
colleges, get to know them, and learn from their
replies.By taking part in this event, you may advance
your professional and personal development while
showcasing your programming prowess and
excitement.
Team Based Coding Event
The aim for participants in this event is to solve problems
in the real world using programming and algorithms. It is
modelled after the ICPC Events, the oldest and most
prestigious programming competition in the world.
Three-person teams from each of the participating
colleges compete against one another in this
competition; the winning teams move on.For non-NITR
students, it will be accessible online; however, for NITR
students, it will only be accessible offline.

Individual Coding Contest
In this competition, participants solve a set of problems
individually using their favourite programming language.
The challenges usually have to do with arithmetic, data
structures, algorithms, and logic. The participants' rating
is based on the quantity of problems correctly answered
and the time required to answer each problem. An
individual coding challenge may be used to test one's
coding prowess, learn new skills, and have fun.This
contest will be accessible offline only for NITR students.
DAY 1:DETAILS
Inauguration
The Honourable Director of NIT Rourkela will
host an inaugural function. He will provide
illuminating lectures regarding the event.

Guest Lecture
The sport of competitive programming involves using
code to solve algorithmic issues. It enhances your
reasoning, coding, and problem-solving abilities. You
will learn how competitive programming might benefit
you in a guest talk about how to use it in software
development, data science, and research, among other
fields. Take a lesson from a pro and enjoy yourself.
