ACTIVITY NO. 1
ANSWER:
ACTIVITY NO. 2
1.) Give the different Types of Voltage Regular and discuss the differences of each other.
2.) Give the Three Unit Control Panel and discuss the differences between each other.
3.) What is the importance of Parallel and Load Sharing?
4.) Give the Advantages of a brushless generator.
5.) What is IDG and its Purpose?
ANSWER:
1. Error detection, pre-amplification, and power amplification are the 3 main sections of a
regulation circuit. Error detector circuit is to monitor the generator’s output voltage. The pre-
amplifier handles the switching between different line level sources and boosts the signal before
sending it to the amplifier, while the power amplifier is an amplifier in which the output signal
power is greater than the input signal power.
2. The 3 unit panel consists of voltage regulator, current limiter, and reverse current output relay.
Voltage regulation shows that efficient operation of an aircraft’s electrical equipment depends
on fundamental requirements, current limiter reduces the voltage whenever the maximum safe
load is exceeded, while the reverse current output relay cuts out the current when the
generator’s voltage is lower than the battery voltage.
3. It is to ensure that in the event of an engine or power failure, there is no interruption of the
primary power supply.
4. It has lower maintenance cost, high stability, and consistency of output, and better performance
in high altitudes.
5. It is a state-of-the-art means of producing AC electrical power, it contains both generator and
CSB in one unit. This concept helps to reduce both the weight and the size of the traditional two-
unit system.
