Poly-fil Colours used:
Scissors Main colour: White - 100 yards
Stitch markers Accent colour 1: Coal - 35 yards
Accent colour 2: Blush Pink - 20 yards
Accent colour 3: White Beach- 1 yard
Abbreviations Cow Bell less than 5 yards for both

bell and collar.
mc - magic circle
sc - single crochet
Please note that these colours are
hdc - half double crochet
merely a suggestion, feel free to use
dec - decrease
whatever colour you desire.
inc - increase
* - repeat
st - stitch
Special stitches
slst - slip stitch
ch - chain Picot stitch— ch 2, slst into the second
fo - fasten off chain from the hook, slst.
blo - back loop only
cc- colour change
Notes
This pattern is worked in continuous rounds and not joined with a slip stitch.
Use a stitch marker to help keep track of stitches and round count.
Level of difficulty: Advanced beginner
Yarn under method is used on this pattern. However, using the regular yarn over will not affect the finished
product other than possible size difference.
Finished size: approximately 9 inches.
Tension can change size of finished product.
Decreases are worked as invisible decreases, front loops only.
When working in a specific stitch continue inc (increase) and dec (decrease) in the same stitch. (Ex. working
in hdc, but pattern says inc, use hdc inc).

Using accent colour 1 - Coal
7mm crochet hook
DO NOT STUFF
Round 1: 5sc into a mc (5)

Round 2: (inc, ch 1, inc) in the same st, sl st x2 (7)
leave the remaining 2 sts unworked
fo and you will be crocheting ears into the head.
** please note round 2 inc will be pointed in away from

the body not crocheted in.**
Head
Using accent colour 2 - Blush Pink

STUFF AS YOU GO

Insert and secure eyes in between round 5-6
Round 2: inc around (14)

Round 3: 1sc, 2inc, 6sc, 2inc 3sc (18)
8 sts apart (10 sts in total)
Round 4: sc around (18)
cc main colour - white
Round 5: blo 2sc, dec, 1sc, 7inc, 1sc, dec, 3sc (23)
Round 7: 5sc, cc black 3sc, cc white 8sc, cc black 2sc, cc white 5sc (23)
Round 8: 3sc, cc black attach ears 4sc, cc white 8sc, attach ears 4sc, 4sc (23)
Round 10: (3sc, dec)* x4, 3sc (19)
Round 11: (2sc, dec)* x4, 3sc (15)
Round 12: (1sc, dec)* x5 (10)
Round 13: dec x5 (5)
fo and close head.
Add ons - horns x2
Using accent colour 3 - White Beach

7mm crochet hook
On round 8 of the head in between the ears
insert hook approximately 1st away from the ear

attach yarn and work a picot stitch. Repeat on
other side, (6 stitches in between)

Nose sculpting
Take a darning needle and a piece of scrap yarn and
sew through to top of the nose directly above the eye at round 4 to the
bottom of the head. Gently pull and repeat twice until noticeable indent.
Repeat for other side!!
weave in the ends.
Feet x2
7mm crochet hook
DO NOT STUFF

Round 3: 2sc, 2dec, 6sc (10)
Round 4: 2sc, 2dec, 4sc (8)
fo, you will be crocheting feet into the body.
Arms x2

7mm crochet hook
DO NOT STUFF

Round 2: (1sc, inc)* x3 (9)
Round 4: 2sc, dec, 5sc (8)
cc to main colour -White
Rounds 5-10: sc around (8) [6 rounds]
fo, you will be crocheting arms into the body.

Body
Using main colour - White
8mm crochet hook
DO NOT STUFF
Please note all sts are worked in the same st suit unless indicated ** st marker should be at the

and crochet through both sides into the body**

Round 4: 4hdc, attach foot 4hdc, 6hdc, attach foot 4hdc, 6hdc (24) the feet to crochet
Round 5: 9hdc, cc black 3 hdc, cc white 12hdc (24) (where the decs are)**
Round 6: 9hdc,cc black 3hdc, cc white 4hdc, cc black 3hdc, cc white 5hdc (24)
Round 7: 16hdc, cc black 2hdc, cc white 6hdc (24)
Round 8: hdc, dec, 10hdc, dec, 9hdc (22)
Round 9: hdc around (22)
Round 10: (2hdc, dec)* x5, 2hdc (17)
{change st from hdc to sc}
Round 11: (2sc, dec)* x3, 5sc (14)
Round 12: 3sc, attach arm with 4sc, 3sc,
attach other arm with 4sc (14)
fo and leave a long tail for sewing the head on
Add ons- tail & assembly
Using 7mm hook and accent colour 2 - Coal

insert hook to the back of the body at round
4. Ch13 and slst back into the same st of the
body.
Sewing the on the head

Using a darning needle, slightly tilt head
forward toward you, and sew round 5-9 of
the head onto the opened body. (DO NOT SEW
ON FLAT)

Cow Bell
Using accent colour 3 - Ogo Yellow
7mm crochet hook
DO NOT STUFF

Round 3: blo (inc, slst)* x4 ,1sc (9)
fo and weave in ends.
To create the collar

attach any colour yarn to the top of the bell ch15 place around
Colby’s neck and slst back into the bell.
fo and weave in ends.
