“Good Morning Class. How is your day “ Good Morning Ma’am/Sir, We are fine"
so far?"

"That’s good to hear! So can I expect a full

blast of energy and active participation "Yes Ma'am/Sir! "
from you?"

"Before we begin the lesson this afternoon,

let us ask the guidance of almighty God and
let us enlighten our mind to completely
understand the lesson this morning. Would
you please lead the prayer? ( One student will lead the prayer)

hands and say if you are present" ( Raise their hand and say present as the
teacher call their name)

"For our lesson,You will start by counting

from 1 to 2 which will corresponds to your (Class starts to count then form 3 groups)
group. We will be having Collaborative
Chart Game"

"Before that let me have a brief

explanation about active and passive voice"

"There are two grammatical voices in

English. The active and passive voice when (listen mindfully)
we say active, the subject is performing an
action like for example
(The cat chased the rat) , While the passive
voice, the subject is now being acted upon
by the verb or simply the sentence gets
flipped. (The cat was being chased by the
cat)

"Do you understand that class? "

"Yes Ma'am/Sir"

"Now, Each group brainstorm examples of

sentences and will take turns in writing
them in appropriate column in the chart.I
will give each group 3 minutes and the
team who fills the chart correctly as many
within 1 minute will win"

“ Do you have any question?”

“ None”
“Okay let’s start the game,Let's have
group number 1 first"
(all team members will cooperate)

"The winner is group_________

here's your reward"
D. Lesson Proper ( Receiving of reward)

“ Now, based on our activity what we are

going to discuss now is to identify the voice
of a verb that tells whether the subject of
the sentence performs or receives the
actions.
(The whole class listen attentively)
This refers to how a subject, object, and
verb interact within a sentence.Their
order will determine if a sentence is in
active or passive voice.

Active Voice: The subject is the doer of

the action.

Example 1 - Gizelle sings a song.

Gizelle, the subject is the doer of the

action, sings, and song is the direct
object. Here, the action of singing is
being done by the subject i.e. Gizelle.

Example 2 - James finished the

homework.

In this scenario, James is the doer of the

action, finished, and homework is the
direct object. Here the action of
finishing was done by the subject i.e.
James

Passive Voice:The subject is the receiver

of the action. The verb is formed by
adding the past participle of the verb to
the appropriate form of to be.

Example 1- The homework was finished

by James.

In this example, homework becomes

the subject of the sentence and James,
the receiver of the action, is now part of
the predicate of the sentence.

Example 2- The shoe was chewed by

the puppy.

The shoe, which is the receiver of the

action becomes the subject of the
sentence.

The puppy is the one who did the action

of chewing and shoe is the entity on
whom action has been done

"Now, Let's have you the one to give an

example of using an active and passive
voice in a sentence"

"How about the others? "

(Student raise their hands)

“Excellent! I think you are familiar now with
active voice. Let’s proceed on an activity”

(Student answer once they called)

application of all you have learned from this
