4. (i) A 2 cm high object is placed at a distance of 32 cm from a concave mirror. The image is real,
inverted and 3 cm in size. Find the focal length of the mirror, position of the image and also
draw the ray diagram.
(ii) What angle an incident ray should make with the surface on which it strikes to exactly retraces its
path after reflection?

1. Find a quadratic polynomial with zeros 3 + 2 and 3 - 2 .

2. The HCF of two numbers is 42 and their LCM is 630. If one of the number is 210 then find the other
number.

The length, breadth and height of a room are 825 cm, 675 cm and 450 cm respectively. Determine the
longest rod which can measure the three dimensions of the room exactly.
3. Solve the given pair of equation by the method of elimination.

the coefficients of the polynomial.
8. Show graphically that the system of equation 2x + 4y = 10 and 3x + 6y = 12 has no solution.

Determine the values of a and b for which the following system of linear equation has infinite solutions.
2x – (a – 4)y = 2b + 1
4x – (a – 1)y = 5b – 1
