Introduction:

The MBA department of S.S. AGRAWA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY organized
an orientation program for the incoming batch of MBA students on 21/08/2024. The primary
objective of this program was to welcome new students, provide them with essential information
about the MBA program, and facilitate their integration into the academic environment. The
orientation aimed to help students understand the curriculum, faculty, facilities, and the overall
culture of the institution.

Program Overview:

The orientation program commenced at 9.00 AM. The event was attended by approximately 65 new
students, faculty members, and administrative staff. The program was structured to include
presentations, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities.

Welcome Address:

The program began with a welcome address by the Head of the MBA Department, DR. SHAM
SACHINWALA. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of the MBA journey and encouraged
students to make the most of their time at the institution. He highlighted the values of leadership,
teamwork, and innovation that the MBA program embodies.

Introduction to the MBA Program:

Following the welcome address, DR. SHAM SACHINWALA, the Program Coordinator, provided an
overview of the MBA curriculum. The presentation included details about core courses, elective
options, and the structure of the program. He also discussed the importance of practical learning
through internships, projects, and case studies.

Faculty Introductions:

To familiarize students with their professors, a session was dedicated to introducing the faculty
members. Each faculty member shared their academic background, research interests, and teaching
philosophy. This interaction allowed students to understand the expertise available to them and
encouraged them to approach faculty for guidance throughout their academic journey.
Campus Facilities Tour:

An essential part of the orientation was a guided tour of the campus facilities. Students were shown
various resources available to them, including the library, computer labs, study areas, and
recreational facilities. The tour also included a visit to the student center, where students could
engage in extracurricular activities and social events.

Introduction Session:

The introduction session began with students introducing themselves. They shared their names,
backgrounds, and hobbies, which helped foster a sense of community. This part of the orientation
was crucial as it allowed students to get to know one another and feel more comfortable in their new
environment.

Games:

1. Flag Game: In this game, students were divided into small groups and tasked with designing a
unique flag that represented their team. This activity encouraged teamwork and creativity, allowing
students to express their identities.

2. Balloon Tower: For this game, teams were given balloons and tape, and they had to build the
tallest tower possible. This challenge promoted problem-solving skills and collaboration, as students
had to strategize on how to balance the balloons effectively.

3. Dum Charades: This game was the most entertaining! Students acted out movies, books, or
famous personalities without using words. It led to lots of laughter as everyone tried to guess what
was being acted out, making it a fun bonding experience.

These activities helped new students connect with one another and created a positive environment.
Overall, the orientation day was memorable and set a great tone for their journey ahead!

Question and Answer Session:

Towards the end of the program, a Q&A session was held, allowing students to ask questions
regarding the curriculum, faculty, and campus life. This interactive session provided clarity on various
aspects of the program and helped address any concerns students had as they embarked on their
MBA journey.

Feedback and Closing Remarks:

The orientation program concluded with closing remarks from the Head of the MBA Department. He
expressed gratitude to all participants and encouraged students to actively engage in their studies
and campus activities. Students were also encouraged to provide feedback on the orientation
program to help improve future iterations.

Conclusion:

The orientation program for the MBA department was a successful event that effectively welcomed
new students and provided them with essential information for their academic journey. The
combination of presentations, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities created a positive
and engaging atmosphere for incoming students. By fostering connections among students and
