Once upon of time, it tells the story of two kingdoms ruled by two lovers who had a secret love.
Elena lived in Aragon and August in Carthage, two different kingdoms that were opponents, and this is
wert the story starts.
There was an amazing maid, a woman with black shiny hair and gorgeous dark green orbs. Her face was
pure art like an angel but, and her skin was white as snow. But if you approach her, you will receive a
look on her eyes that could kill anybody who would come near. She wasn’t looking for a relationship, or
that is what she thought.
Unlike her, there was a fellow who had light, blonde hair who had grey eyes like the dark sky that night.
He was a desire for all women, but he was interested in none. Whenever you approched him, he would
attend, as bade. His name, was August.
That night, when each kingdom received a letter for a wedding, they prepared themselves for it. Elena
wore an attractive, dark green dress that would take anybody’s look. On the other hand, August wore a
black suit with a white shirt underneath. His tie was black, just like his shoes.
The wedding was full, since the couple knew most of the kingdoms and even stablished a friendship
between them. The two were far, but the tense longing stare did not. Suddenly, romantic music starts
playing as the couple gets married and everybody is looking for partners to dance. He builds up courage
and starts walking his way to her, as he approaches, he hists and she looks his way.
Serious with her dark green eyes showing no emotion and her lips shut tight, but he still asks for a
dance. He lends his hand towards her as he said “Would you give me a chance to dance with you?” she
looks surprised since he didn’t back away, and he likes the way she is giving him a nonchalant look She
spake, “Maybe I will, if you enlighten me” then, he pulls her by the waist, bringing her closer to him, and
she puts her hands around his neck to support her body. The room, adorned with gilded decorations,
became a magical tableau as the king and princess moved in perfect synchrony. The elegant dance steps
spoke of tradition and grace, each movement a reflection of the royal heritage they shared. They
danced, while getting to know each other as she raises an interest on him. When nobody is looking and
dancing, the king and Princess Seraphina stole away from the grandeur of the castle. outside the castle
she decided to make the first move, she never would but she felt like she already knew him her whole
life so She got closer to him, grabbed his sharp jaw, and gave him a kiss on the lips, they shared a
moment under the moonlight in a sweet lingering kiss, the weight of their responsibilities momentarily
forgotten.
In the moonlit courtyard of the grand castle, they lost themselves in the warm of each other, but then a
sudden, thunderous bang reverberated through the air, the peaceful moment was no longer present.
Breaking apart, their eyes locked in a shared sense of urgency, another explosion between the two rival
kingdoms, the clash of steel against steel echoed through the air. The once serene landscape became a
battleground, the grassy fields now stained with the struggles of opposing forces. Elena and august
shared another look but not of terror but of confusion as they recognize their own own warriors from
their kingdoms fighting each other.
august, his expression resolute, took Elenas hand, but she quickly took it out of his hold. The love that
had blossomed between them now faced the harsh reality of the kingdom in turmoil. She turned around
to go towards the shouts that were calling her, but he grabbed her hand again and with a heavy look he
spoke “like, whither are you going?” she repliest, “did you know about this?” He spoke” nay” his look
filled with a confusion by her question, the moment was interrupted again by another explosion
followed by a shout “¡PRINCESS ELENA¡” when he heard this he stuttered out “Elena?” another shout
but this time a different voice “¡KING AUGUST¡” this time she stuttered out “august?”.
In the midst of the war-torn courtyard, the revelation unfolded. They had been childhood friends, once
inseparable in the palace gardens, unaware that the currents of destiny would carry them to opposing
sides of a conflict. Even though they just found out this without a farewell she slipped her hand out of
his strong hold and started running towards the side whither other warriors of her kingdom stood and
he could no longer see her as smoke from the explosion got in his sight of vision, so he turned away too
running trying to find warriors from his own kingdom trying to dodge all the casting a blood-red hue
across the battleground.
The need for power and economic growth caused these two kingdoms to have a great war. The kingdom
of Elena and that of August wanted to have the same strategic land to be able to generate more crop
fields and so that their people would not die of hunger due to the cold.
No matter how much time passed, the lords could not agree on the desired division of the land and the
people were not very happy. Protests began and hunger killed the most eager and young.
All the lords met to try to create an agreement, Elena's people were very affected,An she did not do
something about it she would most likely be beheaded. But the desire to have more economic power
brainwashed August, he was only focused on his benefits.
the meeting did not reach any point, everyone shouted and explained their needs, but the court could
not agree. The final decision was war. The soldiers prepared themselves, the plan was already on the
table and the people wert already taking refuge in the castle. The distribution of troops began in the
morning. August's kingdom advanced first, obtaining the best position. The Elena and August met in the
middle of the battlefield to begin the war.
August was staring at her, with a heavy look on her face that conveyed that she didn't have to do that.
But Elena didn't express the same, she just wanted to end the matter now.
The drums sounded and the battle began, the soldiers ran and galloped loaded with weapons.
The blood was everywhere, the men and their steeds fell as they advanced.
Elena and August, still in the center of the battle, fought among themselves with their swords almost as
An recreating a waltz, like the same waltz they danced the night before. In the middle of a turn that
ended in an embrace, Elena stabbed him in the back with her dagger. August, he hugged her tightly as
he sobbed into her shoulder, she gave him one last kiss and fell to the ground with him in her arms.
Elena was crying, cursing what had happened, but since she was distracted with August, she had not
realized that there were still soldiers around her who were fighting with their last strength. One of them
took advantage of the fact that she was not looking and with an arrow that flew into the air from his
bow, she wounded in the chest. She and her August died that same day in broad daylight. The story of
these two kings with a forbidden love is still heard in the fields where roses and trees grow today, told
by those people who united for their future and the honor of their lords.
