2.0. RESPONSIBILITY
Core workers are the main responsible for the core receiving process. It is the duty of the technician
and the geologists working in the coreshed to check that all operations are carried out in accordance
with the procedure during the receipt of the core boxes.
3.0. PERSONNEL
The delivery process of the core boxes coming to the core shed should be between morning
and noon.
The employer's "Core Quality Check" form must be available before the core boxes are
delivered.
Core boxes should be placed in a suitable location outside the core shed with core shed
workers and drilling personnel.
A copy of the shift report of the drilling, whose cores have been received, should be given to
the core drilling officers.
Two workers and drilling personel (preferably the driller) should carefully check the writings
(borehole name, box number, starting and finishing meters of box) and maneuvering wedges
in all boxes. It must be checked whether it is compatible with the progress ranges in the shift
report. If there is any defect, the drilling worker should be asked to correct it.
The "Core Quality Check" form should be filled while the control is being performed. The
person responsible for this work should fill in the relevant parts of the form at the drilling
