DOSCALE 65 is one of the principal anti-scalant used by the membrane industry. Doscale
65 is an excellent anti-scalant and anti-foulant suggested for membrane systems using a
wide selection of brackish, high saline and treated effluent as feed-waters.
Doscale 65 is a highly effective threshold agent, which prevents the precipitation of calcium
carbonate, calcium sulphate and barium sulphate by increasing their relative solubility.
Doscale 65 has been developed dedicated to the protection of membranes and equipment.
There are many recorded instances where Doscale 65 has allowed systems to operate
satisfactorily with enhanced levels of silica. Generally used with silica levels in the reject less
than 150 mg/l.
Advantages:
Handling & Storage: Keep container tightly closed in a cool place. Store in a cool, dry well
ventilated area away from fire and any oxidizing agents. Use dry, clean clothing and
equipment when handling. Avoid breathing dust and contact with the eyes and skin. Wear
rubber or plastic gloves and safety glasses with side shields.

Advantages of Doscale 65 over Sodium hexameta-phosphate dosing
• Handling SHMP has a short shelf life and solutions must be made up daily.
• Doscale 65 is effective anti-scalant than SHMP, maintaining salts in solution at high LSI
up to + 2.5 values, which means systems can operate at higher recovery rates.
• Cleaning with Doscale 65 is far more stable than SHMP and is unlikely to cause any
calcium or iron based phosphate deposition. For this reason the interval between
cleaning significantly longer.
• Dosage of Doscale 65 is significantly lower than for SHMP.
Doscale 65 dosage will depend on water quality. Typically 3-5 PPM based on operating
parameters and water characteristics. Exact dosage is determined at site. Doshion product
engineer will help you in designing the optimum dosage.
