The first Techtalk addressed the important topic of closing the gap
between academe and industry and was hosted by Mr. Mario S. Enteria, Vice
President for Strategic Alliances at PicsPro. Mr. Enteria emphasized the need
of matching industry demands with educational results and the part that
human mindset plays in this process. His understanding of people, system
and technology provided a basis framework for closing this gap. In his
Techtalk, Mr. Mario S. Enteria stressed how important it is to cultivate a
growth mindset as well as analytical, creative, and critical thinking to match
academic requirements with those of industry. He promoted constantly
changing teaching methods and improved industry-academia cooperation,
along with possibilities for real-world experiential learning. To better educate
students for industrial difficulties and technical demands, he also
emphasized the importance of implementing cutting-edge technology and
integrating systems.

To bridge the gap between academe and industry, Mr. Enteria

emphasized the importance of the human mindset, stating that our thinking
has a significant impact on the outcomes we get. He identified between two
thinking the growth mindset, which welcomes difficulties, keep going through
difficulties and views effort as the route to mastery, and the fish mindset,
which is defined by a limited ad fixed approach. Mr. Enteria emphasized the
significance of critical and creative thinking. While creative thinking
encourages innovation and the capacity to see new solutions, critical
thinking helps people examine complicated issues and make well-informed
decisions. He also emphasized the value of analytical thinking, which enables
people to analyze data and draw insightful conclusions. When talking about
technology, Mr. Enteria emphasized the differences between the tools that
are commonly utilized in both academia and industry. Significantly, he made
mention of the System Integration Capability (SIC), highlighting the necessity
of combining diverse technologies to establish a streamlined and effective
workflow to close the technology divide. Students benefit from a more
comprehensive and current educational experience because of this
integration.

The techtalk by Mr. Mario S. Enteria offered insightful information on

closing the gap between academe and business. A strategy for overcoming
this obstacle is provided by his focus on the human mind, critical and
creative thinking, and the connection of educational processes with industry
demands. Furthermore, his emphasis on technology highlights how crucial it
is to give kids the knowledge and abilities they need to succeed in a world
that is changing quickly. Educational institutions can better equip their
