Journal 2: Autobiography
“ HAPPINESS “
My name is John Vincent decolas. I was born on October 10,2007. I am 16

years old. I was born in Cabilon 2 Don Marcelino Davao Occidental.
When I was young we are always happy with my friends while playing on
the road. Sometimes we usually punched each other after playing. Tomorrow,
find a new place to play another game again. As long as we are still young,
there are no big problems not the same as what we are facing now.
I study here in Lawa National High School. I love going school everyday
and respect all my teachers and classmates. I participate in all activities at
my school. I have many friends and a I love all my friends. My ambition to
become a Fire Man. To serve our country and people so that I can help our
community I want my parents proud of me.
My ambition is when I am graduate is to become a Fire Man. To serve our

country and people so that I can help our community. I want my parents
proud of me. Because the opportunity they gave to me is waste. When I
waste it.
In my Family, we are happy sometimes not because my and dad was

fighting. But in our family the closets to me is my mom. But my dad we very
not close because sometimes we don’t understand each other.Then my
younger sister we are not very close because we don’t understand each
other.
There is a point where we don’t understand each other and we always fight.
And I punched him on his shoulder. I can’t stop myself because I’m a bad
brother. But now it’s mine again and he’s my lover but there are times when
we fight sometimes but I won’t hurt him anymore.
My challenge now that comes to me is that we don’t have money. And

because my father didn’t go to the sea because there was no fuel to buy. And
we don’t even have enough rice, there was a time when we would just ask
for rice from my father’s brother, who was a teacher. But I will not stop
learning until my parents educated me.
I’m only close to my mom because she doesn’t hurt me and when I do
something wrong with my dad, she hides it. Because dad is really very brave.
And it was my time that he got drunk and punched me in my side. But I love
them both and because they are the ones who grew up with me. I love my
mom and dad.
I have also hobbies in life like fishing, and basketball. Because even if I’m
bored I know that these are the thing that makes me happy and because of
this I have many friends. Like fishing sometimes you go to any tournament,
of course you meet a lot of people until make many friends. Then basketball
too, of course you will go wherever you opponents are in the game, you will
be friends with them. Then sometimes I don’t like to play knife out with my
friends.
We also travel sometimes we went to Davao with my mom, dad and also my
sister and we go to the mall for shopping. Then sometimes we go to the
mountain with my friends. Somewhere as long as we can enjoy ourselves.
Then last time also we went to lacaron because it was fun there so that’s
why we went there.
I am also a Catholic and I’m one who believes in the God. I know that we
have different beliefs, but we are only one God. God is also one of those who
help us so that we can solve our problems. Because we can’t handle our
problems if god doesn’t guide us.
I want to finish my school, I just need to preserve so that I can achieve what I
want to achieve. There are a lot of problem ls that I have to face, naturally,
because I am schooling. Make your problem fun it will disappear soon. Then
in school you don’t need to be smart, you just know your strategy.
I learned about myself is to be good, honestly, and also helpful to other

people. Because we know that being good is one of the most important
things a person can don. Because you better show good behavior to other
people. So that they will treat you as well as you have treated them.
When I graduate in high school, I plan on having future goals that I plan on
achieving. My first goal is to go to college and get a degree. I plan to study
criminology. This is my number one future goals that I need to accomplish
because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go college to support my
future family.
In a relationship, dating is not in my mind because I’m focusing I’m my
school. For me, dating in one of things that can distract me every time I
study. Because it’s good when you don’t gave a girlfriend because you can
do what you want to do. But now I’m just friends only si there’s no distraction
in my life and so I can focus on my studies.
And lastly, this in conclusion now I’m 16 years old. I have a many
experiences in my life. Then I want to increase my experiences from then
until soon. Because I know that I haven’t enjoyed myself too much and I
haven’t served this worl too much.

“My Philosophy”
“Be the reason someone smiles”
Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people.
“Do not fear failure but rather fear not trying”
If you do nothing, you will get nothing. But if you try to do something there
are chances that you may fail or you may succeed.
“Life has no remote get up and change it yourself”
One cannot simply wait for things to change in their life.
“Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people”
Offer help when you can, and always strive to see the better in others.
“Don’t just dream, do”
We should stop dreaming of something we want to accomplish because it

doesn’t make a change or a progress.
“Count your own blessings, not someone else’s”
To make a special effort to appreciate the good things in one’s life.
“Make improvements, not excuses”

When you have a big goal and you make excuses to avoid all the small habits
and tasks needed to achieve said goal, well, you’re really screwing up your
life.
“Genius hits a target no one else can see”
To truly make a difference, you have to not only hit a target others don’t yet
see – but it must also be one that they value more than the one they aimed
for in the first place.
“To live is to suffer”
Life is inherently fraught with hardships and challenges, and suffering is an

inevitable part of the human experience.
“Know thy self, know thy enemy”
Generals who know themselves and their adversaries will triumph in all its
battles.
