Description
The Shiva Shadakshara Stotram is a powerful Lord Shiva prayer that is directed to Shiva's
six-letter phrase, "Om Namah Shivaya." As a result, the name Shad Akshara (six letters) was
born. In the classic Rudrayamala Tantra literature, the Shiva Sadakshara Stotram is discovered.
The Bhairava Agama canon of Shaivism, as well as the Tantric canon of Shaktism, includes the
Rudra Yamala Tantra.
There is a single verse mantra for each letter of Aum-Na-Ma-Shi-Va-Ya in this Hexa-Syllabic
Hymn. It is said that anyone who recites the Shiva Shadakshara Mantra in front of Lord Shiva
on a regular basis with dedication, faith, and focus would achieve happiness and Moksha.
