Note: in case of oil leakage from the head it is necessari to replace the gaskets included in
the kit code n° H902948 (see picture).
To get access to the gaskets, remove the four allen screws at the top of the cylinder
head flange. Since it is necessary to remove the pulley at the top of the ram, it is
better to work with the ram collapsed as much as possibile; many times this means
fixing securely the car at the top of the shaft.
Remove the pulley, and pull out the flange, then replace the gaskets.
Pull in again the flange taking care not to damage the new gaskets with the threads at the
top of the ram; it is suggested to wrap some tape over the threads.
In case of oil leakage from the bottom of the cylinder, contact IGV Technical Support.
During the installation of the DomusLift take care not to tighten too much the “T” fittine at
the bottom of the cylinder (see picture) to avoid the clogging of the bottom exhaust hole
causino the lift to stop or jerk in down direction.
The DomusLift oil recovery system is made so that air bubbles are easily trapped inside
the plastic hoses, more likely when the oil tank is above the cylinder bottom level. Air
bubbles mixed with oil can make a gurgling noise during piston movement. Here below is
shown a modification in the oil recovery system which solves the problem if it occours.
Remove the “T” fitting under the cylinder bottom and the oil recovery hose from the fittine
itself to the tank, then put a suitable can under the piston. The can is to be voided during
periodic servicing (oil volume dripping in the tank is very small in normal operation).

Superdomus piston in two pieces
• Fit the pieces of the piston into the shaft, and fix firmly the lower part of the ram in
vertical position holding it steady with a tie.
• Lift the upper part of the ram using a second tie and put it in perfect alignment and
perfectly plumb with the lower part.
• Remove the “O”ring from the joint and clean carefully the joint threads with nitro or
nitrotrichloroethilene solvents, dry them and check that no grease residues are left.
• Try fit the two parts of the ram a first time to check that there are no jams,
eventually adjust the thread using a file.
• Unscrew the two parts, re-install the “O”ring and spread putty Loctite 586 (supplied)
over the male thread and screw again until the reference lines on the rams’
surfaces match perfectly. NOTE: the Loctite 586 dries quiet quickly, for this reason
the joining process cannot be stopped once the putty has been spread over the
threads.
• Once the joining is done, check that there are no steps or sharp edges in the joining
point, eventually remove them using fine emery cloth. NOTE, this operation must be
done cleverly otherwise the jack seal life is affected.
• Fix firmly the lower part of the cylinder in vertical position holding it steady with a tie.
• Remove (unscrewing it) the jack head from the top part of cylinder; lift the top part
of the cylinder using a second tie and put it in perfect alignment and perfectly plumb
with the lower part.
• Lay down the top part of the cylinder being sure of the matching of the two sides of
the flange marked with reference lines.
• Fix the two parts together with the four bolts (see sketch)
• Fit the ram into the cylinder and after that screw in the jack head; it is suggested to
wait about 24 hours before filling the jack with oil.
TWO STAGES PISTONS
For replacing the gaskets order kit cod. n° H902947; the two heads are screwed in: you
need the special tool (see picture) and a suitable clamp to hold the cylinder and the bigger
ram while unscrewing the heads (see picture at the end of present document).

need the special tool (the same used for DomusLift piston) and a suitable clamp to hold
the cylinder and the bigger ram while unscrewing the heads (see picture).
