Installing AMD Software: PRO Edition

o It is recommended to use the Factory Reset option when upgrading from AMD
Software: PRO Edition 22.Q2.

Packaged Driver Version

AMD Software: PRO Edition 22.Q3 installation package contains the following driver versions
for Microsoft Windows® 11, Microsoft Windows® 10, Microsoft Windows® Server 2022,
Microsoft Windows® Server 2019 and Microsoft Windows® Server 2016.
• WHQL Driver Packaging Version: 22.20.26
• Windows Store Version: 31.0.12026.3
Supported APIs
AMD Software: PRO Edition 22.Q3 supports the following APIs:
• OpenGL 4.6
• OpenCL™ 2.1
• DirectX® 12.0
• Vulkan® 1.2

Highlights
• Major performance improvements for applications using OpenGL API.
• Support for Microsoft Windows® Server 2022 with select Radeon PRO products.
• Support for Microsoft Windows® 11 version 22H2.
Errata
Fixed Issues
• Radeon PRO Viewport Image Boost toggle is missing in Hotkeys section of AMD
Software: PRO Edition.
• Stability issues with DaVinci Resolve 17 when exporting video using H.264 compression.
• Incorrect application version information shown in AMD Software.
Known Issues
• Possible video playback corruptions with Avid Media Composer software.
o Users encountering such issues can use AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.9.1
as a temporary solution.
• “Use GPU for image processing” option is not available in Adobe Lightroom for select
Radeon & Radeon PRO GPUs.
o Users encountering this issue can use AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.9.1 as
a temporary solution.
• Some platforms with older Radeon PRO WX series GPUs might experience driver
installation issues when upgrading from AMD Software: Pro Edition 22.Q2.
o It is recommended to use the Factory Reset option with Full & Minimal install
scenarios or using AMD Cleanup Utility before proceeding with Driver Only install
option.
• Possible video playback corruption with Adobe Premiere Pro software with HDR content
while switching the application from windowed to full screen modes.
o Users encountering this issue with AMD Software: PRO Edition 22.Q3 can use
AMD Software: PRO Edition 22.Q2 as a temporary solution.

Feature Support Information

Support Notes
• AMD Driver is DCH Compliant.
• AMD Software: PRO Edition 22.Q3 provides “as-is” support for AMD Radeon Products.
• This driver is not intended for use on Radeon products running in Apple Boot Camp
platforms. Users of these platforms should contact their system manufacturer for driver
support.
• When installing this driver for the Microsoft Windows operating systems, the user must
be logged on as Administrator, or have Administrator rights to complete the installation
of AMD Software: PRO Edition 22.Q3.
• No support for 10-bit Packed Pixel, 10-bit Eyefinity, and MGPU Eyefinity.

Compatibility
AMD Software: PRO Edition 22.Q3 provides support for both AMD Radeon PRO and AMD
Radeon Graphics Products. AMD Radeon Graphics Product support is limited and not tested for
PRO Edition Quality.

AMD Radeon™ Graphics Support
Starting in 19.Q2, AMD is including Radeon products in our PRO Edition driver. This is being
done in consideration of the fact that enterprises use both professional, commercial, and
consumer hardware. This driver is recommended for Radeon hardware being used in
commercial use cases with productivity applications. This includes users who need to review
CAD data as part of their workflow. It is not recommended for gaming. Workstation
performance, features, and application certifications do not apply to Radeon hardware and no
end user benefit will be observed without Radeon PRO hardware.
