About Coimbatore
Coimbatore the second largest city and urban agglomeration in the Indian state
of Tamil Nadu, after Chennai. The city is located on the banks of Noyyal River surrounded
by western Ghats. The rich black soil of the region has contributed to Coimbatore's
flourishing agricultural industry and, the successful growth of cotton has served as a
foundation for establishment of its famous textile industry. Due to profound role as an
industrial hub and multi-faceted business endeavours, Coimbatore is referred popularly
as "Manchester of South India". The city is also known for it's educational and research
institutions like Central Institute for Cotton Research, Sugarcane Breeding Institute,
Institute for Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

About TNAU
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) stands as a distinguished institution
with a rich legacy providing agricultural education for over a century. Its roots trace
back to the establishment of an Agricultural School in Saidapet, Chennai, in 1868
which was later relocated to Coimbatore in 1906. Affiliated with the University of
Madras in 1930, TNAU initially. offered a three-year degree program, becoming the
sole institute for agricultural education in South India until 1946. Over the years,
TNAU evolved as a hub for higher education, achieving recognition as a Postgraduate
Centre in 1958, offering Masters and Doctoral degrees. As a non-profit public higher
education institution, TNAU has garnered accolades, notably becoming the first State
Agricultural University (SAU) accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural
Research (ICAR). The institute's excellence has been acknowledged with prestigious
awards, including recognition as the best institution and the best performing
university by the ICAR. In the realm of national rankings, TNAU has consistently
excelled. In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 awarded by
the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), TNAU secured the sixth

position among state agricultural universities in India. Additionally, it claimed the 68
spot in the overall category and the 44th position in the 'Universities' category.
Internationally, TNAU made its mark by ranking 105th in QS-BRICS.
About Dean (Agriculture)
The Dean (Agri) main role is education and not just imparting knowledge as generally
perceived but also to make the students, to understand and discover themselves,
realize their potential and find that skills to pursue their career in the trained student
from a University education system should be in a position to look at it from all possible
perspectives and reach a logical conclusion. Various dimensions in which University
students are expected to excel include innovative thinking, logical & analytical skills,
intellectual curiosity, trustworthiness, environment & energy consciousness, social
responsibility, ethics & moral values – and while at it, gaining an overall development
of mind, body, and intellect. Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore,
TNAU has been established with a purpose and commitment of training the students
to develop these very skills. There is no compromise on the quality of education and
facilities provided on the campus as we embrace modern technologies with open
arms. TNAU, Coimbatore campus is teeming with opportunities created for extra- and
co-curricular activities along with excellence in academic performance.

About Conference
This conference is going to inspire new approaches to interactions throughout
the agribusiness value chain. Unlike most conferences, where problems are discussed
and needs assessed, this conference foster the exchange of concrete solutions and
best practices, giving participants the opportunity to interact in an informal panel
discussion format inspired by the World Best Renowned Scientists. The conference will
encourage lively debates among a wide range of agribusiness actors and facilitated
numerous bilateral meetings between potential partners and also this conference will
facilitate global trade by offering educational sessions, a robust exhibit floor, private
meeting rooms, and dedicated networking opportunities for the world market to
connect, engage and build business.
The conference agenda will commence with an Inaugural
Ceremony, followed by a Keynote Address, and culminating with
the felicitation of the best paper and poster winners. Concurrent
thematic sessions by eminent-led oral presentations in intimate
settings will take place. Following the oral presentations,
corresponding poster sessions allow for personalized discussions
between audience and presenters. These sessions, spanning for
two days, covers diverse topics and are overseen by experienced
faculty and student facilitators. The suggested concurrent

Call for Research Abstracts
Papers are invited in the mentioned themes for Oral and Poster presentations. Submission of abstracts for
Oral/Poster presentation should be prepared in MS word, consisting of title of paper, authors, affiliation, abstract
(300 words, Abstract template is available at https://tnau.ac.in/ and Keywords while registering in the google
form. The papers presented in the conference will be released as a book with ISBN during the inaugural
ceremony. The selected full-length manuscript will be peer reviewed and later published in a reputed Journal. An
author can present only one research paper (Review Paper will not be accepted). Abstracts should be
submitted in Google form available at https://forms.gle/wpHJPRKDtHNuFGyz8 and the full-length
papers should be mailed to gassdedt2024@gmail.com

Who can Apply


The conference is designed for young researchers from various Agricultural Universities. All
undergraduate, post graduate and Ph.D. students, Junior Research Fellows, Senior Research Fellows, Post
Doctoral Fellows, Research Associates, Teaching Assistants and Assistant Professors, Associate Professors,
Professors, Scientists from various national and international institutes are eligible to apply.

TNAU is located 15 km from International Airport, Coimbatore; 6 km from Coimbatore Railway station and
