DOROTHEA BLANKET
Dorothea blanket is a beautiful, textured granny square blanket, very easy to make. It can be made with any yarn,
in any size. You can easily adjust the size of the squares simply by adding more rounds to the square. You can also
adjust the size of the blanket by adding more squares to the blanket. This pattern is suitable for advanced or
adventurous beginner who wants to explore new stitches and learn how to achieve a beautiful texture with only
basic crochet stitches.

First join all the horizontal rows, and then all the vertical rows. Join the squares from right to left.
Begin at the top right-hand corner. Place squares RS together. Make 2 sc in ch-3 sp and slip stitch them
together using the outside loops. When you reach the left corner of the squares make 2 sc in ch-3 sp, take the
second pair of squares, lean them against the first two squares. Keeping them close together, make 2 sc in
ch-3 sp, then continue to join each stitch together. Join all five pairs of squares. When you reach the left-hand
corner of the last square make 2 sc in ch-3 sp. Fasten off.
Join the vertical rows in the same way. When you reach the joint of two squares make 2 sc in ch sp before the
joint, ch-1, 2 sc after the joint and continue joining the squares in the same way you joined horizontal squares.
