    NOTIFICATION

    The draft of the following rules further to amend The Karnataka General Provident Fund
    powers
    Rules, 2016, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the

    conferred by sub-section (r) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State civil
    't99o) and section 8 of the Provident Funds Act' 1925
    Services Act, 19Zg (Karnataka Act 14 of

    (centrat Act 19 of 1925) is hereby pubtished as required by clause (a) of sub-section (z) or
    persons
    section 3 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978, for the information of all the

    likety to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken
    into

    consideration after iifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

    Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any

    person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be

    considered by The State Government. Objections and suggestions may be addressed


    to the

    - Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Finance Department, Second Floor, Vidhana

    Soudha, Bengalore-560 OO1.

    DRAFT RULES

    L. Title and Commencement: - (t) fnese rules may be called the Karnataka General

    Provident Funds (Amendment) Rules, 2024.

    (Z) fney shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the Official

    Gazette.

    2. Amendment of rule 12:- ln the Karnataka General Provident Fund Rules, 2016, in

    sub-rule (Z) of Rule 12 for the words "maximum of basic pay of the post held by him",

    the words "maximum of 5 Lakh rupees in one financial year" shall be substituted.
