System 1 v6.x legacy Software Platform and associated extenders is transitioning to Life
Cycle Phase 5
The Baker Hughes Product Life Cycle Management Program is intended to help you proactively plan the
ongoing operation and maintenance of your legacy System 1 v6.x (and prior) Software along with
associated platform extenders by providing information on the availability of parts and support. Notices
such as this are issued at life cycle milestones to inform you of changes and to provide recommendations
on how to move forward.

Status Details This notice is to inform you that the legacy System 1 software platform version 6.x (and prior
versions) along with associated system extenders will be transitioning to life cycle Phase 5 effective
December 31, 2024.
Phase 5 in our life cycle program means the end of “Extended Support.” Software in this category is no
longer supported by Baker Hughes and is considered obsolete. Software M&S agreements are not available
for products in this category.
Note:
1) The movement to Phase 5 does not affect the operation of System 1 legacy software or installed
licenses.
2) Existing System 1 Classic Technical Support Agreements (TSA) contracts and Bently Nevada Service
contracts will continue to be supported per the contract definition.
System 1 legacy was first released in the year 2000. After a long history of enhancements and reliable
service, it transitioned to Phase 4 as of December 2022 (LCN BN53-2205299). Within LCN BN53-2205299
Revision 1, a projected Phase 5 date was defined as December 2023. Baker Hughes is now defining the Phase
5 effective date as December 31st, 2024.

– System 1 Evolution – now at v23.2 (with a twice-yearly enhancement cadence), which represents the
latest technology and condition monitoring capabilities from Bently Nevada. System 1 Evolution represents
a contemporary solution (combining features and a technology stack aligned to current and future needs).

Product capabilities and the core technology stack are mature. Future enhancements for products in
this category are limited to critical bug fixes. Customers who own products in this category should
have a transition plan in place and a clear understanding the equivalent new product roadmap.
