Title: Clean a vehicle unit (Interior)

Performance Objective:
Given a vehicle unit and cleaning supplies, tools, and
equipment, you should be able to clean the interior part of the
vehicle unit thoroughly to maintain hygiene standards and
present a professional appearance.
Supplies/Materials:

 Vehicle cleaning solution


 Cleaning cloths or sponges
 Glass cleaner
 Soft brushes
 Air freshener

Equipment:

 Vehicle
 Water source
 Portable vacuum cleaner
 Cleaning gloves (optional)
 Face mask and googles

Steps/Procedure:

1. Gather all necessary supplies and equipment.


2. Park the vehicle in a suitable location, preferably away from direct sunlight.
3. Wear protective equipment.
4. Remove any trash, personal items, and clutter from the interior of the vehicle.
5. Use a vacuum cleaner with various attachments to thoroughly vacuum the interior
surfaces of the vehicle.
6. Pay special attention to the floor mats, seats, carpets, and upholstery. Remove the
floor mats and vacuum them separately.
7. Address any stains or spills on the upholstery or carpet using an appropriate
upholstery cleaner. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for best results.
8. Wipe down all interior surfaces such as the dashboard, door panels, center console,
and steering wheel with a damp microfiber cloth. Use a mild interior cleaner for
stubborn dirt or grime. Avoid using harsh chemicals that may damage the surfaces.

9. Spray glass cleaner onto a microfiber cloth and wipe down all interior windows and
mirrors.
10. Detailing: Pay attention to small details such as air vents, crevices, and buttons. Use
a soft-bristled brush to clean these areas thoroughly.
11. Deodorizing: If necessary, use a fabric refresher or odor eliminator to neutralize any
lingering odors in the vehicle. You can also place a car air freshener to keep the
interior smelling fresh.
12. Reassemble and Organize: Once the interior is clean, reassemble any removed
components such as floor mats and personal items.
13. Final Inspection: Take a final look around the interior to ensure that everything is
clean and in place. Make any additional touch-ups as needed.

Assessment Method:

Visual inspection of the vehicle unit to ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dirt,
streaks, and debris.

Peer review or supervisor feedback on the cleanliness and quality of the cleaning job.
