Mock Midterm Exam
Time Allowed: 1.5 hours

This examination paper consists of 12 pages and 16 questions. Marks per question are
stated for each question.

Instructions:
1. This is a closed book exam. A formula sheet is allowed (two A4 pages, both sides).
Access to any other paper resources during the exam is NOT allowed.

2. Non programmable calculators are provided. The use of computers, mobile phones
or any other electronic devices is not allowed.

3. You should have both the exam paper and a multiple choice answer sheet. Write
your name and student ID number on the multiple choice answer sheet.

4. You should also have a pencil, pen, and eraser. Dictionaries are permitted.

5. The exam paper and the multiple choice answer sheet are to be handed in at the
end of the examination.

6. You will be provided with draft paper, which may not be removed from the exami-
nation room.

7. Important: To encode your student number and your responses, you must
fill in the correct boxes using a pencil on the multiple-choice answer sheet.

8. Answer ON THE ANSWER SHEET by filling in the box using a black pen.

9. This exam paper MAY NOT be removed from the examination room.
