Corruption Wastes the Entire Generation

African Proverb “A corrupt system is like a tree with rotten roots; it will eventually fall."

Today, we gather to address a disease which is very fatal and contagious in

nature . It knows no boundaries . It affects us all, regardless of nationality.
This contagious disease is corruption. It corrodes our institutions, weakens trust,
and impedes progress. Corruption is a damage, when a single fingertip hurts, the entire body
feels the pain. Similarly, when corruption infects one aspect of a nation, the entire country
suffers.
Corruption happens when people in power do not follow the rules. They take money,
resources, or favour’s for themselves instead of helping others. When leaders are corrupt,
they do not care about the needs of the people. This makes life harder for the entire
generation.
Worthy audience:
Let me begin with one of the most important areas for any generation: education. When
corruption enters the education system, it causes harm that can last for many years. How?
Imagine a school where funds meant for new classrooms, books, and computers are stolen by
corrupt officials. The children who study there do not get the resources they need to learn.
Teachers may demand bribes for passing grades. What happens to these children? They grow
up without proper education, without the skills to contribute meaningfully to society. As a
result, an entire generation is left behind.
Corruption in education is not just about stealing money. It also promotes unfairness. When
students pay to get good grades or certificates, it creates a false sense of success. Those who
deserve to succeed because of their hard work and talent are pushed back.
Mr. President:
Not only in education, corruption is like an emergent tree with its branches running into the
average sector of society weather that is judiciary or weather that is politics weather that is
Police or weather that is medicine every sector public or private is deeply indulged in
corruption, Mr.President is deeply indulged in corruption.
Nowadays! It is seen that people pay Lacs of rupees to higher officials to get government job,
because of this many deserving candidates remain jobless. Corruption can be seen during
elections also. Many candidates distribute cash money to common people for votes. Some
people of weaker sections are sometimes threatened to give vote to a particular candidate or
at times they are even prevented from going to the polling booths.

We all know that the solution lies in the hands of a powerful force: our youth. The future
belongs to them, and it is their character that can become a cornerstone of a corruption-free
society.

Government should enforce tough laws to stop corruption. Strict

punishments should be given to the individuals found doing corruption.
Applying cameras in government offices and private workplaces too can
slow down corruption to a big extent.

In conclusion, corruption wastes the entire generations by stealing their

opportunities and harming their communities. But if we act now, to bring
transparency , accountability , and justice in an agreed upon and qualified
way, we can stop this cycle and build a brighter, fairer future for
everyone.
