GENERAL INFORMATION

PYRO-SAFE FLAMMOTECT-A Coating is a water-based, ablative, endothermic, fire protective coating,


especially developed for the fire protection of single, grouped or bundled electrical cables, its supports and for
penetration seals. The main function of the Coating is to prevent flame propagation along vertical and horizontal
cable ways. The coating delays the fire spread caused by short circuit, or external source and reduce the poisonous
smoke associated with cable fire.

An universal protective coating, tough, weather-resistant and elastic bonds with cable surface to give longer life
but keeps its flexibility. It is resistant to moisture, freezing and heat cycle, UV lights, chemicals, several oils, anti
rodent etc.. The coat is free from hazardous substance, solvent, halogen, and goes well with other PYRO SAFE
fire protection coats, sealant, bulk head, paint etc.

PYRO-SAFE FLAMMOTECT-A Coating is used for indoor and outdoor application and particularly suitable for
thin dry film thicknesses, easily applied by conventional methods such as airless spray gun and brush .The Coating
has been tested to all recognized international standards and its effectiveness has been proven in several
documented cases of fires.

The coat is heat conductive and so there is no de-rating of cable ampicity .

STORING AND HANDLING

 Protect the product from frost. Cool and dry (+5ºC up to +25ºC)
 Shelf life at least 18months. In original closed pails
 Product needs to be stirred well
Application possible with brush, paint roller or airless spraying machine
 For spraying method: Nozzle orifice > 0.019 inch = 0.48mm
