INQUIRY: establishing the purpose of the unit

Transfer goals
List here one to three big, overarching, long-term goals for this unit. Transfer goals are the major goals that ask students to “transfer” or apply, their
knowledge, skills, and concepts at the end of the unit under new/different circumstances, and on their own without scaffolding from the teacher.

Verbal and visual interpretation will enhance the learners’ visual literacy by interpreting visual cues such as graphs or images
in unfamiliar situations. Learners will develop proficiency in critical thinking and cultural understanding, enabling them to
evaluate and respond appropriately across diverse social and cultural settings, using both verbal and visual inputs. Learners will
also be able to analyze and critique content through writing clear, coherent, and structured reviews, will be able to create
engaging blogs, using language to express personal views, share experiences, and connect with an audience while
considering cultural nuances and varying perspectives.
