3105397 - How to use Resolution Base and Calculation Level in Charge Calculation?
Component: TM-CF-CC (Transportation Management (no software transports) > Cross Functions > Charge
Calculation), Version: 4, Released On: 26.08.2024

Symptom
With the Resolution Base, the charge item is assigned to a certain data source level.
The charge item (which is a single building block of the Calculation Sheet) is calculated with regard to the Resolution
Base. During Charge Calculation, the system resolves the calculation sheet according to the input data.
At runtime, the calculation logic works as follows:
1. As a result of the initial resolution step, the system creates a calculation table based on the logistical data source.
The system has not yet performed any calculations or determined any rates.
2. The system processes the calculation table and determines a value for each row given in the Calculation Sheet. If
the system cannot determine any value for a certain charge item, warning message will be raised and no charge will
be applied for that row in the Calculation Sheet. However the process is not interrupted.

Environment

Resolution
Required Customizing Settings before Charge Calculation:
Define Calculation Profile in the below path: SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Transportation Management -> Transportation
Management -> Basic Functions -> Charge Calculation -> Basic Settings -> Define Calculation Profiles.
Define Settlement Profile: SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Transportation Management -> Transportation Management ->
Settlement -> Define Settlement Profile.
Settlement Profile is required for the Charge Calculation on the Settlement Documents.
Define Charges Profile in the below path: SPRO -> IMG -> SAP Transportation Management -> Transportation
Management -> Basic Functions -> Charge Calculation -> Basic Settings -> Define Charges Profiles.
Maintained the Resolution Base in the Calculation Sheet (TCCS).
Path: NWBC -> Master Data -> Charge Management and Service Product Catalogs -> Calculation Sheet ->
Define Calculation Sheet or Fiori Launchpad -> Charge Management -> Edit Calculation Sheet
Insert the TCCS line, where the instruction type is standard.
Go to Basic Data tab, maintain the Resolution Base.

Header Level Calculation

During Header Level Calculation, the Resolution Base can be used as follows:
Based on the above example, the results will be the followings:
