I. Introduction
• Purpose of the Assessment Survey
The main purpose of this assessment survey is to evaluate the
leadership style and effectiveness of the Governor of the College of
Education. To achieve this, we gather honest feedback from College of
Education students, specifically first-year students. We select two students
from each program. In total, we have 16 respondents for this survey,
ensuring a variety of perspectives.

• Subject in the Feedback Process


The focus of this feedback survey is Ms. Evangeline T. Morcilla, who
currently serves as the Governor of the Student Body Organization for the
College of Education at Bukidnon State University. This assessment aims
to gather insights into her leadership style, decision-making abilities, and
overall effectiveness in representing and addressing the needs of the
student body. As a key figure in the student governance structure, Ms.
Morcilla plays a vital role in fostering collaboration, ensuring student
engagement, and promoting the welfare of her peers within the College of
Education. Through this survey, we hope to provide constructive feedback
that will contribute to her growth as a leader and support the continuous
improvement of student governance initiatives at the university.

II. Survey Structure

• Rating Scale and Response Options


The survey utilizes a 5-point Likert scale to measure respondents'
perceptions and opinions. This scale allows participants to express the
degree to which they agree or disagree with various statements related to
the subject's leadership and effectiveness. Below is the breakdown of the
rating scale:
1 – Strongly Disagree – Indicates complete disagreement with the
statement.
2 – Disagree – Indicates partial or moderate disagreement with the
statement.
3 – Neutral – Indicates neither agreement nor disagreement, or no
strong opinion on the statement.
4 – Agree – Indicates partial or moderate agreement with the
statement.
5 – Strongly Agree – Indicates complete agreement with the
statement.
This structure ensures clarity, consistency, and ease of response, while
also allowing for detailed analysis of the feedback.

• Key Areas of Focus


The survey focuses on evaluating six fundamental aspects of leadership,
which are crucial to the effectiveness of the subject’s role as a leader. These
areas include:
1. Communication Skills
o Assesses the leader's ability to clearly articulate ideas, share
information effectively, and actively listen to others.
o Evaluates how well the leader fosters open dialogue and ensures
mutual understanding among peers and stakeholders.
2. Vision and Innovativeness
o Examines the leader's capacity to think creatively, set goals, and
develop forward-thinking strategies for the benefit of the
organization.
o Evaluates their ability to inspire others with a clear vision and
implement innovative solutions to address challenges.
3. Decision-Making
o Measures how effectively the leader analyzes situations,
considers various perspectives, and makes sound, timely
decisions.
o Assesses their ability to balance short-term needs with long-term
objectives while ensuring fairness and practicality.
4. Team Building
o Evaluates the leader's skills in fostering unity, collaboration, and
trust within the team.
o Measures their ability to motivate and empower team members,
ensuring that everyone works cohesively towards shared goals.

o Assesses the leader’s ability to handle change, uncertainty, and

o Evaluates their capability to adjust strategies and approaches as
needed to maintain progress and morale.

o Examines the leader’s commitment to integrity, transparency,

o Evaluates their ability to uphold and model values that promote

These areas provide a structured framework for analyzing the leader’s
overall performance, identifying strengths, and highlighting opportunities
for growth.

III. Summary of Results


• Overview of Feedback Received
The feedback indicates strong overall approval of the Governor’s
leadership, with high ratings in team building, ethical leadership, and
adaptability, reflecting strengths in fostering collaboration, fairness, and
handling change effectively. Positive comments highlight integrity and
supportiveness as key attributes. However, areas like decision-making,
communication skills, and vision received some neutral ratings, suggesting
room for improvement. Constructive feedback points to the need for clearer
decision-making processes, better communication of goals, and more
innovative strategies. Importantly, no significant negative feedback was
reported, indicating overall satisfaction with the Governor’s leadership
approach.
