JASMINE Cleaning

LOREN PSU (Power Supply Unit) - The PSU (Power Supply Unit) gives power to the motherboard and
makes the System Unit work. The PSU also has a fan inside which helps it to cool down while working so
it doesn’t overheat while the system unit is running. The PSU contains the 24 pins cable and it gives
power to the motherboard. The 4 pins give power to the CPU.

AEON Motherboard - The motherboard ties the computer’s components together in one spot that
allows them to receive power and work altogether.

RAYMUNDO CPU (Central Processing Unit) - The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the brain of the
computer. It directs and controls the entire computer system and performs all arithmetic and logical
operations. It goes inside the CPU Socket so it can receive power from the motherboard. The CPU fan
helps the CPU cooldown when the computer is running so it doesn’t overheat and doesn’t break down.

LEBRON Thermal Paste - The thermal paste works together with the CPU fan to help cool down the CPU
while the computer is running. It also prevents the CPU from overheating.

HANNAH- BIOS (Basic Input Output System) - The program a computer's microprocessor uses to start
the computer system after it is powered on. It also manages data flow between the computer's
operating system (OS) and attached devices, such as the hard disk, video adapter, keyboard, mouse and
printer.

JASMINE CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) -It is responsible for the BIOS’ firmware
which is responsible for booting up the computer and its data configuration flow. The CMOS battery also
stores the date and time.

LIBAY RAM (Random Access Memory) – RAM or Random Access Memory is used to store information
that needs to be used quickly. This means that opening many programs, running various processes or
accessing multiple files simultaneously is likely to use a lot of RAM. Particularly complexed programs like
games or design software will use most RAM. The RAM should be placed in the RAM or Random Access
Memory slots carefully.

AEON Back Panel - This is where the input/output connectors are found.
Internal Ports: It connects the system's motherboard to internal devices like hard disk, Compact Disk or
CD drive, internal Bluetooth, etc.
External Ports: It connects the system's motherboard to external devices like a mouse, printer, USB, etc.

AEON Input Ports- A parallel port is an interface allowing a personal computer (PC) to
transmit or receive data down multiple bundled cables to a peripheral device such as
a printer.
A serial port is a serial communication interface through which information transfers in or
out sequentially one bit at a time. This is in contrast to a parallel port, which communicates
multiple bits simultaneously in parallel.
A Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a common interface that enables communication
between devices and a host controller such as a personal computer (PC) or
smartphone.

The PS/2 port is a 6-pin mini-DIN connector used for connecting keyboards
and mice to a PC compatible computer system.

RAYMUNDO PCI SLOT (Peripheral Component Interconnect) - The main difference between PCI and
PCI Express is that the PCI is a parallel interface while PCI Express is a serial interface. PCI is a bus that
allows connecting devices inside the computer to extend its capabilities. PCIe slots allow your
motherboard to connect with your PC's most critical components and provide key functionality.

LEBRON IDE PORT (Integrated Drive Electronics) - An IDE interface is an industry-standard adapter for
connecting IDE devices and enabling them to communicate with each other. At one time, most
computers included at least one IDE interface built into the motherboard. The interface provided a 40-
pin connector for attaching an IDE hard disk drive (HDD) to the computer.

HANNAH SATA (Serial Advance Technology Attachment) - Serial ATA (Serial Advanced Technology
Attachment or SATA) is a command and transport protocol that defines how data is transferred
between a computer's motherboard and mass storage devices.

JASMINE SATA PORT (Serial Advance Technology Attachment) – The SATA port or Serial Advance
Technology Attachment port is where we place the SATA cable.

LIBAY NORTHBRIDGE - Northbridge is an Intel chipset that communicates with the Central Processing
Unit or CPU and controls interaction with memory, the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bus,
Level 2 cache, and all Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) activities. Northbridge communicates with the
processor using the frontside bus (FSB).

AEON SOUTHBRIDGE - The southbridge is one of the two chips in the core logic chipset on a personal
computer (PC) motherboard, the other being the northbridge. The southbridge typically implements the
slower capabilities of the motherboard like the Universal Serial Bus or USB, Serial, IDE or Integrated
Drive Electronics and ISA or Industry Standard Architecture.
JOHANNE HDD (Hard Disk Drive) - The HDD (Hard Disk Drive) stores permanent programs and data. It
holds a greater amount of data up to 400gb. It shouldn’t be shaken when handling because it might
corrupt the disk inside which can lead to loss of data. It receives power because of the SATA (Serial
Advanced Technology Attachment) cable that connects it to the motherboard.

LIBAY System Unit Case - The System Unit case is where all the parts are put together so they can be
connected and it also protects them from possible threats that can lead to worst scenarios.
