CASE STUDY: SALES ORDER ANALYSIS

Problem Statement

You are a business analyst in a very prominent and famous Global Superstore based out of NZ, but
shipping products worldwide.

The company hired a new VP, Sales who would like to know about the current business of the
company in terms of the revenue, profit, number of daily orders etc. The VP, Sales has reached out to
you to create an interactive Power BI report for him that summarizes the above details, and provides
more valuable insights about the business. This will help improve his current understanding of the
business and will help him take informed business decisions in the future.

Requirements:

1. What is the total revenue of the company in the selected time period?
2. What is the total profit of the company in the selected time period?
3. Are the revenue and the profits growing over time? Visualize this using a line chart to display
the trend for the last 12 months
4. What is the average time the store takes to ship the product from the time the product was
ordered?
5. Which product contributes the maximum to the total revenue and through which channel?
Show this in the form of a stacked bar chart
6. What is the revenue by each channel? Show this as a horizontal bar chart
7. Which customer generates the maximum profit? Who are the top 10 customers? Show this
as a matrix
8. What is the average quantity per order in the last 12 months? Which month had the
maximum average quantity per order?
9. Feel free to add interactions and expand on the charts created above with more metrics.

All the charts above should be able to filter by Channel, Order date range, Product Name and
Suburb. Use the slicers to create the appropriate filters
